"Rise and shine, my love!" An unfamiliar voice wakes me up. I open my eyes to see the door wide open and the guard standing next to it, with his hands raised up in the air like he just finished preaching.
A taller guard, with a similar padded suit. This wasnt the Mr. Nameless from before. This was another nameless guy.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"Straight to the point? Alright then. Look, even if I do tell you my name, how are you going to distinguish me from the others? Its not like you know anyone here anyway."
His raspy voice makes me wanna listen to him yap for hours.
I stay silent. Not knowing what to say.

"Come on, your schedule is packed today. And by packed, i mean P-A-C-K-E-D." He continues.
"Where's the other-"
"You have to have breakfast, after that I'll show you around and then you have school...OH maybe you can make some new friends at school! I'll tell you the rest later." He cuts me off.

School. The one place I dont wanna be in. Not because I dont wanna wake up in the morning. Not because I didn't study. I'm an honour's student after all.

But it doesn't matter, I just wanna stay away from all of it. The bruises will stay with me till the day i die. The scars will remind me of what kind of a life I had.

Wasn't this supposed to be my escape?

Didn't i have some sort of an importance here?
Why do I have to go back to that shit hole again? My thoughts overwhelmed me. Eyes filled with tears, hands unknowingly trembling, my fear decides to betray me and tear away the composure my ego built so hard on maintaining.

"Please. Please. Anywhere but school. I beg you, please." My voice cracking at every other word.

He slowly pushes the door, with one tiny streak of light peaking through, kneels down, placing himself perfectly that the light strikes at his glowing honey brown eyes.

His rough, padded hand cups my wet cheek, "Hey, hey, hey. Trust me. No one can lay a finger on you." He reassures me.
As if that would ever work.
"No, you dont know what they ca-"
"I know." He cuts me off again.

Did everyone here know everything about me? What the hell is going on.

"We're required to learn everything about our assigned person beforehand." He says, interrupting my thought.

"But I was "assigned" to the other guy." I say, air quoting the word.

"Well, you're mine now. Deal with it." He stands up,
"Come on now, wash up and we have to get this day started!"
He leaves me with no option but to chuckle at the wiggle he does at the end of the sentence.

I slowly stand up, walking towards a corner that he points towards, seeing a door I'd never seen before, i open it.

The door opens to a bright cubicle, in the form of a restroom. There was a toilet towards one corner, a sink on another and a shower on the other wall. There was enough space for two people to stand inside the entire restroom though.

I enter the slimy floor, thankfully, it didn't stink of shit. I walked towards the sink, as I turn on the tap, sounds of a gremlin's stomach growling makes me jump out screaming.

I hear a chuckle from outside.
The ice cold water finally manages to push itself out of the pipe and into my hands. I wash my face, clean up and go to take a shower.

Taking two steps back, on the slimy floor, and I reached, I slowly close the iron door, i try twisting the handle and man did it creak.

I slowly remove each piece of clothing I had, feeling hella concious. Stripping in an unknown place wasn't something I looked forward to on a daily basis.
I try twisting the tap but no water comes. What the hell.
