"Are you still having the dream?"

Beyoncé looks up from the bagel she was just about to bite into at Victoria's words. She places the bread back down on the plate gathering her thoughts before she could reply.

"You're stalling so I'm gonna take that as a yes" Victoria cuts in putting down the small white mug she had taken a sip from the hot beverage to regard her friend.

The two friends were having early breakfast at the rooftop of Château Rouge, one of the many restaurant branches owed by the Knowles.

They were here just before 9am for their breakfast because they didn't want to be met with customers. They would have gone somewhere else however Château Rouge had the best chefs of all the restaurants in the city.

It was shocking to think the restaurant didn't used to do breakfast before until the new management and chef came in and changed the menu completely. Their breakfast was truly one of the best menu change.

"Bey..." Victoria trails with a sigh, a speech on the tip of her tongue.

"Please don't give me that." Beyoncé clicks her tongue against her teeth leaning back into her seat in defeat "you think I want the dream? I want nothing more than to get this woman whom I have never met before nor know what she looks like out of my damn dream so I can finally have a peaceful sleep but I can't. I mean damn it, I can't even go on dates because I'm picking these woman by their lips. Who does that?" She scoffs out of frustration.

Beyoncé doesn't remember when the dreams of a mysterious girl with full soft lips started, all she knew. Every time she went to sleep, the dream girl was there and each time it was the same, her lips, talking but Beyoncé couldn't make out the words before kissing her and it feels so real, so real that Beyoncé always wakes up hard as a rock to the point she needed to stand under cold showers for half an hour.

She never understood what the dream meant and she never tried to decipher what it meant. Once she told her friend, Victoria had made a joke about perhaps the girl was her soulmate and Beyoncé should try to find her. It was obscured, she didn't exist.

Right?

"Well you can still take my advice and try to find her" Victoria shrugs nonchalantly even as Beyoncé looked at her with a straight face.

"You want me to find the woman I been dreaming about whom by the way I have no clue what she looks like or if she's even real?" Beyoncé chuckles lowly at the ridiculousness of her friend.

"Hey craziest things have happened, especially in this city" shrug the shorter woman.

"For all you know your mystery dream woman is actually real" she adds with a serious expression making Beyoncé roll her eyes in response.

Victoria sat up, pressing her elbow onto the edge of the table.

"You're the CEO of one of the biggest, most influential company in the world. I'm sure you have connections with all the precinct departments in the country. You have all the resources at your hands"

Beyoncé stopped to consider Victoria's words, as crazy as it sounds, it was also making sense. What would hurt if Beyoncé tries at least?

"I don't know I—" Beyoncé suddenly stopped mid sentence as the door to the rooftop shut making her frown as she caught sight of dark curls while the doors were closing.

"Who was that?" Victoria's head whipped around before facing Beyoncé in wonder,  Beyoncé shrugs in response.

Beyoncé couldn't explain why she just had the same bone chilling feeling she had when she visited the hospital when she and Robyn were leaving. She shivered a little trying to shake herself.
