ESTA'S POV

I groaned, tapping around the bed looking for my so loudly ringing phone.

I didn't check the time but it's too late for anyone to be calling me. "Hello.... I'm not on night shift today" I growled as the person on the other end sobbed.

"Are you crying? Why are you crying?" I asked in a faint tone still half asleep without knowing whom I'm talking to.

"What should I do? Esta what should I do? I messed up." I heard Taylor's voice sobbing bitterly.

"Taylor?" I quickly sat up. "What's wrong? Why are you crying? Are you hurt? Talk to me Taylor, should I come to you?" I asked all at once worriedly. she seem to have been crying for long, even hiccupping.

"They know. And they're really mad." She said, shattering my heart. I saw my whole life flash in front of me. "My mom is really furious. Esta what are we going to do?" She wept even more.

"Taylor? don't cry, don't worry I'm going to take care of everything. I..."

"Mom no! No! please.."

"You're talking to her?!!" I heard Mrs Sinclair yelled in rage before the call got disconnected.

I quickly called again but her line was now switched off. After multiple tries, I gave up.

I dropped the phone, trying to comprehend what just happened. Am I dreaming? How did they find out? Will Maya find out now? And Taylor, why is she crying? Did they hurt her?

The questions were running through my head with no answers. I looked at the time. It's already 1am. I can't go there. "Please survive, survive till the morning, I'm coming for you." I prayed desperately.

I paced around the room watching the clock which doesn't seem to move at all. And around 5am, Mrs Sinclair's call came in.

I looked at my phone, being torn between picking up or not. I picked up and slowly moved the phone to my ear.

"Hello?" I shuddered

"Come to the house. And you better do that before I match into your home." She said, hanging up afterwards.

                                   •••

It was around 8am when I got to the Sinclair's residence. Sandra was sitting in the living room but Taylor and her father were no where in site.

"Good morning" I said still trembling.

"There's nothing good about the morning." She had disgust written allover her face. And soon Mr Sinclair came down too.

I greeted him, but he just ignored me, sitting next to his wife. "Go get her. I'm sure you know the way to her room. Go bring her here now." Sandra commanded, glaring hatefully.

I walked upstairs to Taylor's room, slowly opening the door. She was sitting on the floor hugging her legs with her head buried in there.

I walked up to her tapping her softly. "Taylor" I whispered making her look up.

"Esta" she called out hugging me tight, trembling.

"What happened? Your eyes are all swollen. Why are you crying?" I asked looking at her so sorrowful face.
