"You're finally showing it that I don't matter to you, right?" Maya said as I walked into the house. I had spent the entire day yesterday with Taylor and only returned this morning.

Maya didn't go to school when I arrived and her attitude made it clear that her father has told her everything.

But for some depressing reason, I didn't care right now. I spent over ten years with a monster who has destroyed countless lives and I didn't even realize it.

"What are these mom?" She asked, throwing the pictures on the table.

"So you're a liar, and a cheat and a pedophile at that!? And out of everyone... Everyone!! you could have carried out your filthy act with, you chose to do something this disgusting with Taylor?

And I stupidly confessed my love to her. I must have been a joke to you guys. These...." she held up some pictures. "These are from that day. You were hiding in the bathroom while your daughter's heart was being destroyed. Are you really my mother?" She thundered as I sat down on the sofa.

I tried not to get fazed by what she was saying. I know it's just Raj speaking through her.

"Mom, you can't leave dad. Mom please." She begged as Raj just sat down there making a fool out of his innocent daughter.

"Maya, it's not gonna work this time. He's leaving. I don't want to continue this charade with him." I said, still putting on a straight face.

"But you'd do it with Taylor? Just because she's eighteen doesn't mean she's an adult!!" She thundered again.

"Pick one and stick to it. If you want to yell, yell. And if you want to beg, beg.

Listen Maya, I'm tired. You're not that young either. You know that your dad and I wouldn't work anymore. We're broken, you can see that." I said getting up to leave.

"That's why we're trying to fix it."

"It can't be fixed Maya. It's broken beyond repair." I said and headed to my room.

"I'll leave with him." She said making me stop. "You already have a new daughter. I can't call her your anything else. She's just a child, your daughter!! and if my father leaves, I'll leave with him." She threatens.

This threat is getting old. She always threatens to leave with her father or run away or hate me forever. If she thinks it's that easy, let her do it.

"Suit yourself" I say as I continued walking upstairs, leaving both father and daughter dumbfounded.

"So this is how much I matter to you? You don't care at all?" Maya said making me stop again.

"You matter the most to me Maya. But I just can't jump into a burning furnace because you asked me to.

Raj sign the papers and leave, I don't want you in my house." I said going up, without turning around.

I sighed and went into the room. I'm too miserable to deal with both father and daughter right now.

I came back downstairs later and both Raj and Taylor weren't in the house. Raj's room was totally cleared and some of Maya's clothes were missing too.

I looked at the wall clock 8:53. It's already dark outside. I didn't even have time to wallow in my sorrows, I just took my sleep inducer and went back to sleep.
