Love at first training

Morning rush

Tim was woken up by the sun that started to shine through the window. Wait sun?! The sun wouldn't be up until 7.30am this morning. But why is it up already? Tim immediately sat up with wide eyes. By his sudden action Lucy was also awake.

T- shit shit shit Luce, we are going to be late.
L- how is that possible? You had set your alarm.
T- I don't know how this happ- oh fuck you had distracted me. When you came into the room in only my shirt I must have been so distracted that I didn't activate my alarm.
L- okay this is bad. It's already 07.34am and we need to be in rol call by 8am.
T- okay you go shower. I will make breakfast. You can wear my shirt and boxers, so that you won't have to put on the exacte same clothes as yesterday.
L- okay okay.
T- and when your done with the shower I will quickly jump in while you have breakfast. When you're done please go to the station. So it wouldn't be suspicious that we arrive together both late. You are still a rookie so go.
L- okay we really need to be quick.

They both rushed to get ready and eat. Luckily for them it wasn't a very far drive from Tim's house to the station. Lucy arrived just in time for rol call.

J- why are you late?
L- I'm not late I'm just in time.
J- well normally you would be like 10 till 15 minutes early.
L- I had some difficulties this morning.
AV- Jackson, have you seen Bradford in the locker room?
J- no why?
AV- well he is my TO and he is still not here.
L- that's strange he should be here already.
JN- wait Lucy how would you know at what time Bradford should be here?
L- not like that, i meant it like normally he is already here.

Lucy was getting a bit worried, it wasn't like Tim to be late. And he shouldn't be that far behind her.

G- settle down everyone! I want to switch things up with the TO rookie match. Does anyone know where Bradford is?

A- no sir.

G- Nolan you are getting desk duty today. West you will be with Harper. Villa you will have bishop. And last but not least Chen you will go with Lopez.

The rookies all got their gear except Nolan. He went to the desk. After getting the gear the got in the shop.
A- so Chen what do you think so far in the job?
L- I love it, I wanted to connect with the community and help the people around me. And putting the bad guys behind bars are just a plus.
A- and how about your TO?
L- oh Harper is great, she has thought me a lot about being a female officer. And I hope to learn a lot from you too.
A- originally Tim was supposed to be your TO right?
L- you mean officer Bradford. Yea I think so. Grey had matched us up at the first day. I don't know why Annelise and I switched the next day.
A- so nothing happened the first day?
L- well apart from the weird run in with bradfords ex wife, not really.
A- you ran into Tim's ex wife that day?
L- yes Isabel.
A- that must be the reason he is acting so weird lately.
L- what do you mean, weird?
A- I don't really know. At first he was very tense. Then out of nowhere 6 months ago he became very happy. I had asked him if he and Isabel were working through things or if it was someone else. But he didn't answer. Then just before you arrived he was very tense for a few weeks. And now he just doesn't show up at work.
L- oh that is kind of weird. So you and Bradford are close?
A- yes he is my best friend. We can always count on each other.

The officers got their focus back on the job and paused their Tim talk for awhile. With all that Tim talk Lucy got worried again. Was he already at the station. Or did he just call in sick now? They were doing their round on patrol. When Grey asked Angela to switch to a different station on the radio.

G- Lopez and Chen I need you to go to Shaw memorial hospital.
A- why, sir?
G- officer Bradford had a little accident this morning. And I need some officers to check up on him.
L- alright we are on the way.
A- what do you think happened?
L- well Grey said it was a little accident. So maybe slipped in the shower or maybe he broke a glass and stepped in it. Everything can happen in a rush.
A- why do you think he was in a rush?
L- oh just a guess, and I was speaking from my own experience. I almost dropped a glass this morning because I was in a rush.

They arrived at the hospital. Lucy was send to go inside already while Angela was parking the shop. Lucy got to his room in a record time.

L- omg what happened to you?
T- slipped in the shower.
L- I was so worried.
T- I'm sorry baby.
L- it's okay I'm glad you are safe now. So how injured are you?
T- because of the slip in the shower I bumped my head at just the right angle that it knocked me out. But I woke up soon after. And i don't have any wounds or concussions.
A- how stupid could you be Timothy. You slipped in the shower.
T- yes I was in a rush.
A- oh really that isn't like you.
T- I forgot to activate my alarm when I was setting it.
L- oh I always have the same problem.
A- yea Lucy tell me why you were in a rush this morning?
L- oh uh I had breakfast with my mother but she didn't let go that easily when I left. Kept on talking. So she made me a bit late.
A- ah okay, well we needed to check if you are alive. And you are so congratulations. We are going back on patrol.

Both officers walked out of his room. And walked towards the elevator.

L- oh wait I think my earring slipped out.
A- okay go back and quickly look for it. I meet you at the shop. Don't be too long.
L- alright.

Lucy walked back to Tim's room. She looked around if anybody was watching and she closed the blinds.

T- what are you doing Luce?
L- just quickly giving you a kiss, I didn't get one this morning.
T- alright be quick. This isn't very professional.
L- I know I know, but I can't resist it.

Lucy gave Tim a quick peck on his lips. And went back to the shop.

Lucy's shift went on normally. When she was done she checked her phone and saw a message from Tim.

Tim: I'm already back home, do you want to join me?
Lucy: yes I'd like to. But please set an alarm already for tomorrows shift.
Tim: already done.

Lucy got in her car and drove to Tim's. She knocked on his door and he opened it with a smile.

T- hey beautiful.
L- hi clumsy.
T- that's not fair.

Tim gave Lucy a pouted look. And she planted a kiss on his pouted lips.

T- now get that sexy ass in some of my clothes.

Lucy got changed and they chilled on the couch for awhile before moving to the bed to fall asleep while cuddling.
