Chapter 10: Revelations Abound

As Blossom landed to tell Green Rocket, Nack and Buttercup arrived. "Buttercup!" Blossom beamed as she hugged Buttercup. "Good to see you to Bloss," Buttercup squealed as she tried to get Blossom to stop hugging her. Nack observes and just shrugs and then a voice catches his attention, "Hey Faker! What are you doing here?" Green Rocket asks Nack. "I was in the park thinking on some things when I bumped into Buttercup here and then Butch attacked us, saying something about a power boost." Nack answered. "Oh, that would be Midnight's doing for ya, he's been-" Green Rocket began when he remember Bubbles was still gravely injured in the building, "Shoot! I forgot about Bubbles!" He panics and races to the building where he left her.

"Wait! What about Bubbles? What happened to her?" Nack demanded as Green Rocket carried Bubbles in his arms, her battered and motionless body hanging in his hands. "We got the signal that Buttercup had transformed and I, Blossom, and Bubbles were about to go and help you guys when we were attacked and Boomer shocked her with some lightning," Green Rocket explained. "Boomer shocked her!? Oh when I get my hands on that boy, he's gonna-" Buttercup raged but Nack motioned her to stop, "Don't worry Buttercup, that boy's day of reckoning will come, but right now we need to get Bubbles some medical attention," Nack finished as he carefully grabbed Bubbles from Green Rocket's hands, "I will take her to the hospital, you find those RowdyRuff Boys and give them the beat down they deserve!" Nack added as he raced off in flash purple light.

Green Rocket nodded to Blossom and Buttercup as the three heroes raced off in the direction of the RowdyRuff Boys Z landing. The boys land in a secluded part of the city forming a large crater as they impacted the ground. "Man! That's gonna leave a mark!" Butch called as he woke up scratching his head. "Says the guy who ran into us! You need to watch where your flying!!" Boomer snorted. "Enough!" Brick yelled, which got both of the boys attention. "We need to get back out there! We can't let some quilled haired freak and some girls show us up! We are the-" Brick ranted but was interrupted by a sound of slow clapping coming from the dark part of the alley.

"Well done! You three boys have shown how incompetent this universes villains really are." A voice snickered in the dark until a figure stepped out revealing it to be Midnight Jon, "You boys did your part, now it's time to collect my reward!" He chuckles wickedly. "What do you mean by 'reward'? We need to-" Brick began but were interrupted as he, Butch, and Boomer screamed in pain as Midnight drains them of their power boost.

However, right as Midnight is about to finish, a bolt of lightning attempts to strike him but he was able to avoid the attack as he leaps onto a roof of a nearby building. The RowdyRuff Boys Z fall unconscious on the ground as Green Rocket, Buttercup, and Blossom arrive at the scene. "Midnight!" Green Rocket yells staring at the purple haired villain, "Just what are you planning this time?!" He asks with concern. Midnight just chuckles wickedly, "Well since I dragged you and your puny little friends on for so long, I might as well tell. With Mojo's brain power and the fused white and black Z rays from the RowdyRuff Boys Z, I will absorb the power of Him, and with the power of this universes most evil villain, I, King Midnight Jon, will rule the multiverse! And you won't be able to stop me this time!! Haha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!" Midnight explains breaking out into an evil laughter.

"Like I'd let that happen!" Green Rocket remarks and leaps at Midnight who teleports away to another roof. "Not yet you little brat!" Midnight teased as he reappeared, "Your gonna have to wait a little longer for your death!" He finishes as he dashes off into the distance. Green Rocket just grins angrily and hops back down to Blossom and Buttercup, who are checking on the RowdyRuff Boys Z. "Are they okay?" Green Rocket asked as he knelt down to check on them. "They looked fine and they are definitely breathing that's for sure," Blossom replied. "So what do we do with them?" Buttercup asked as Green Rocket put his two fingers on Brick's, Boomer's, and Butch's necks to feel their pulse. "They'll wake up in a few hours," Green Rocket stated as he stood up and looked around the area, "Let's put them over by that ladder system so that way they are out of the way other people and then go and check on Bubbles and inform Nack of the situation." He added as he pointed to a nearby ladder system connected to a building. "But what about Midnight Jon? Shouldn't we go after him before he gets the power of Him?!" Blossom questioned as she, Buttercup, and Green Rocket dragged the RowdyRuff Boys Z to the location Green Rocket pointed to.

"Midnight can wait, right now we need to make sure that Bubbles is okay," Green Rocket answered, "isn't that more important?" He asked. Blossom thinks for a moment, conflicted, she wants to go and check on her friend but she also wants to stop Midnight. "He's got a point Blossom," Buttercup agrees. Blossom nods in agreement, the three heroes then dash off to the hospital. "So, that's what Midnight has been up to," Nack said as he, Green Rocket, Buttercup, and Blossom waited beside Bubbles hospital bed, the blonde girl laying there quietly, "The doctors say that she should wake up in a few hours and nothing is broken. She just very bruised, anyways how powerful is this 'Him' figure?" Nack stated as he asked Blossom and Buttercup for info. "Very powerful," Blossom started, "He was able to erupt the volcano outside of the town, and grew to the size of a skyscraper." Buttercup finished. "Okay, so how did you girls defeat him?" Nack questioned. "Well we cut a giant iceberg and dropped it down his back, because he is weak to the cold." Blossom explained. "It shrunk him down to a doll and we captured his power and used our white Z rays to trap it and send it into space," Buttercup added.

"And it seems Midnight has found a way to absorb that power," Nack noted and then looked at Green Rocket, "So faker, you've got a plan to stop him or what?" Nack probed. "Not particularly, but at least when this is all over, I can't wait to see Vader's face when I tell him that Midnight actually found a source of ultimate power on his own!" Green Rocket chuckled. Nack then bonks Green Rocket on the head with his fist, "Seriously? The Multiverse is about to be in grave danger and you're thinking about rubbing something in Vader's face!" He yells as Green Rocket who is rubbing his hand on his head.

"It was just a joke! Sheesh!" Green Rocket remarks. "And besides, even if I had a plan, we would have no way to follow Midnight. The Girls said Him's power is in space! And last time I checked neither of us can fly in our base forms," Green Rocket quipped. "Maybe the Professor can make something to help us fly into space!" Blossom suggested. "It's worth a shot," Buttercup agreed. "You three go ahead, I'll stay behind and keep an eye on Bubbles," Nack inputs as Green Rocket,Blossom, and Buttercup get ready to head to the lab. Green Rocket nods and the three heroes set off to the lab.
