Chapter 8: Ruff Around The Metal

Couple of days later, in the park that lays in the middle of the city, Nack is walking next to the pond that is in the park. As he is walking he has a flashback to Miyako's statement; "I may not know what or who the promise pertains to, but you seem sincere on keeping it, doesn't that matter to you?" "Ugh! Why can't I stop thinking about her? What is it about her that stays in my head?"  Nack pondered as the flashback ended.

He looks up to see Kaoru jogging down towards Nack deep in focus. "Hmm... it's Kaoru, looks like she doing some training," Nack observed. Kaoru then spots Nack walking, "Nack?" She asked in confusion. "Hey Spiky," Nack replies as Kaoru stops right in front of Nack. "I wasn't expecting to see you here, what brings you around?" Kaoru questioned. "I have a lot on my mind, and I needed to place to think," Nack revealed. "Like what?" Kaoru asked. "I don't need to explain myself to you! Besides," Nack remarked, "Why do you care? Do you want to be my friend too?" He finishes. Kaoru just chuckles, "Oh you don't have to worry about that! Your already my friend since you befriended Miyako."

"Hmph, whatever," Nack exhaled. "So, what are you training for?" He asked Kaoru. "Oh nothing in particular, just getting my daily exercises in. After all, if I'm going to be in a tag team wrestling match with my dad when I grow up, gotta start early, am I right?" Kaoru responded with a chuckle. Nack just gave a slight smile as he said, "Heh, of course, something like that requires immense training and focus, I'm impressed that you know this at a very young age-" Nack ranted as he was interrupted by a green energy blast slamming him into a bench melting it.

Kaoru looks up to see Butch hovering above them with a sinister smile. "Butch! What? How?" Kaoru asked. Butch simply looks at Kaoru with a slight confusion on his face, "Sorry, have we met? How do you know who I am?" he questions her. Kaoru panics realizing that Butch doesn't know she is secretly Buttercup, "Um... I... saw you on TV? Yeah! I saw you on TV battling the PowerPuff Girls Z one day," she chuckles hoping that he buys her lie.

Butch just gives a hard stare, "Well then I guess we have a reputation! Best live up to it." He says while cracking a evil smile. Nack gets up and stares at Butch as he lands on the ground, "Hmph! It seems you have yet to learn your lesson punk!" He rasped and then looks at Kaoru, "Go, I will buy you time." Nack tells Kaoru who nods and runs off to transform into Buttercup. "Where do you think your going?" Butch mused as he stretched out his hand charging up another blast and shot it at Kaoru, however Nack intercepts the blast blocking it with his gold inhibitor rings. "Hey punk! Your fight is with me, not her," Nack growled. "Heh, alright, I was looking for a rematch against you anyways," Butch sneered. "Hmph! The result shall be the same as before, and you shall regret challenging the Ultimate Life Form!" Nack boasts as he begins charging his fist with purple lightning. Nearby, Kaoru hides behind a tree and pulls out her compact, "Nack is going to need some help on this one," she states as she transforms into Buttercup and then rushes off to join in the fight.

Meanwhile across town, Green Rocket, Momoko, and Miyako are eating at an ice cream shop when both girls compacts begin to flash. "Wait? Kaoru transformed?" Momoko shouted. "That means trouble, we have to help her," Miyako added. "Your right, you two find place to transform, and I will pay for the food and join you. Then we head out to help Buttercup." Green Rocket stated as the heroes nodded and got up from the table. After Green Rocket exited the building he caught up with Blossom and Bubbles near an entrance to an alley way, "You girls ready?" He asked. Blossom and Bubbles both nodded, "Good, we need get to Buttercup before it's too-" Green Rocket began but was interrupted by a dark green streak slamming into him at such a speed that Blossom and Bubbles were blown into two buildings. The streak then slammed Green Rocket into a wall of a building wrecking it. After a few minutes the smoke clears to reveal a robot that looks exactly like Green Rocket but his eyes are red with a black sclera and has a rocket booster in his chest. As Blossom and Bubbles walk out of the wreckage, they notice the robot standing above Green Rocket. "Who is that?" Bubbles asked with concern on her face. "I don't know, but what ever it is, a better question would be: why does it look like Green Rocket." Blossom answered.

"Ugh, my head...Huh? Rocketlix? What are you doing here?" Green Rocket asked after waking up and staring at the robot. "Rocketlix? Isn't that Vader's robot that he's looking for?" Bubbles asked Blossom. "Yes, and it looks like it found us, but why?" Blossom replied, confused. "I've come to kill you, you loathsome copy!" Rocketlix responded and then attempted to punch Green Rocket. However Green Rocket just smiles and dodges the attack, appearing right in front of Blossom and Bubbles. "Oh please, if you were able to kill me, you would have done it ages ago, and besides," Green Rocket mocks with a cocky smile on his face, "Like I'm gonna lose to a lame robot copy like you!" Rocketlix then forms his hand into a fist and anger on his face as he and Green Rocket get ready to fight.

However, Vader then cuts onto the comms of Rocketlix, Blossom and Bubbles compacts, and Green Rocket, "Rocketlix! You are in a heap of trouble!" Rocketlix then froze solid with shock and fear, "Master! What are you doing here?" "I'm here to come and bring you home! So let's go now! I'm sending you the coordinates now!" Vader snapped. "But Master! Green Rocket is right here! I can kill him! Midnight has found a source of Ultimate power! He can-" Rocketlix begins to explain but Vader cuts him off, "Oh please! Midnight wouldn't know what Ultimate power looked like if it smacked right in the face! And I don't care about Green Rocket right now, all I care about is getting off this rock!"

"Do you have the portal up and running?" Green Rocket butted in. "Yes, me, Ken, and the Professor have been working non-stop and finally got a working prototype to function." "Ok, well then, I guess this good-bye, you sure don't want to stay and help out?" Green Rocket asks as Rocketlix boosts off to the Professor's lab. "I will respectively decline, Hero stuff has always been your thing, and besides, if you can't handle Midnight, then no one can." Vader answered as Rocketlix arrived at the lab and the comms cut. "Well looks like that was settled in an interesting way," Green Rocket remarks. "Yeah you guess you can say that," Blossom added. "At least we don't have to deal with him anymore," Bubbles chipped in. "True that, anyways we best be going to help Buttercup," Green Rocket affirmed, but a familiar voice cut in, "I wouldn't count on that buddy!"
