Chapter 11: Race To The Finish!

"Well, I have good news for you guys, because I have something that just might be able to help! Follow me!" Professor Utonium stated then he motioned the three heroes to follow him and Ken to an elevator which leads to a underground part of the lab. "I wonder what the Professor has built?" Blossom pondered as she, Buttercup, Green Rocket, Ken, and the Professor ride the elevator down to the lower levels. "Hopefully something to help us stop Midnight, or at least something to catch up with him." Buttercup remarked. "We're here!" Professor Utonium called as the elevator shaft opened up to reveal a giant robot that resembles Blossom being worked on. "Is that PowerPuff Dynamo Z!?" Blossom exclaimed in shock. "PowerPuff Dynamo Z? What's that?" Green Rocket asked confusingly.

"It's the robot that we used to time travel to get the remaining white Z rays to stop Him." Buttercup explained as the group walked to the giant robot." Right! But last time we saw it, it was completely trashed!" Blossom added. "That's correct! However, since you girls defeated Him, I've been working on repairing it with Ken here," Professor Utonium elaborated as the group stopped at the foot of the giant mech. "That's right! We also added some upgrades to it as well," Ken chipped in. "Alright! Let's ride this baby out into space and give Midnight the beat down of a lifetime!" Green Rocket shouted with a smile on his face and smashed both of his hands together. "Just one problem," Blossom expressed, but before Green Rocket could ask what, Buttercup cut in, "It takes three people to pilot, and since Blossom, Bubbles, and I are the only ones that have experience flying it that's a problem." She finished.

"Well then, its a good thing that I arrived!" A chipper voice called out from behind. They all turn to see Bubbles and Nack approaching them. "Bubbles please! You need to rest! You are in no condition to fight," Nack called after her. "Nack its alright, I'm fine. Besides after what you told me, I'm not going to stand by while my friends need my help," Bubbles told him firmly. "You told her?" Green Rocket questioned Nack. "Well yes, she woke up and asked me what happened while she was knocked out and I answered. Then she bolted right out of the hospital and came straight here." Nack replied with slight embarrassment on his face.

"I see, and I'm guessing there's no convincing you not to come is there? Green Rocket remarked as he turned his attention to Bubbles. "Pretty much!" Bubbles confirmed cheerfully. "Ya, when Bubbles sets her mind to something, there's no stopping her," Buttercup remarked. "Then I shall join you on this mission." Nack chipped in. "Oh, so you have finally decided to help us?" Green Rocket queried. "Hmph! Don't get all mushy, I'm only coming to keep an eye on Bubbles, nothing more. Her safety is my top priority." Nack replied. "Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's go and stop Midnight! Together!" Blossom shouted. "Ya! I've looking forward to a rematch with this guy!" Buttercup said as the group entered the mech. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup then sat in their respective chairs and booted up the mech.

"Turning on the main systems now," Blossom alerted, "Preparing for launch." Meanwhile, Ken and the Professor are in a mission control room nearby, "Copy that, opening hanger bay doors." The Professor states as he pushes some flashing buttons which causes a door on the roof of the underground hanger to open. "We have lift off!" Blossom shouted as she, Bubbles, and Buttercup leaned forward moving the controls which causes the robot to blast off leaving a trail of fiery smoke behind as it exits the hanger and flies up into space at blazing speeds. "Whoa, this is quite a bumpy ride!" Green Rocket observed as the inside of the cockpit rock and vibrated as the robot exited Earth's atmosphere. "I take it you're not used to traveling in a giant robot to space?" Buttercup asked with a slight taunt. "Not really, I usually just use space as a battleground for my fights when I'm in my super form or higher," Green Rocket confirmed.

"Wait!? Your saying that this isn't your only form?" Blossom exclaimed as they entered space. "Pretty much," Green Rocket chuckled with a smile. "Why don't you use those forms more often?" Buttercup asked as they flew through space. But as Green Rocket was about to answer, Nack interrupted, "It's because little Mr. Faker here likes getting the snot beaten out of him first." He retorted. "It's not because I like getting the snot beaten out me, and you know that! It's because there is only a limited amount of elemental magic in a given space and once that's up, I can't access a lot of my powers for the next twenty-four hours. Plus, I like fights to be fair and challenging, after all its no fun if its too easy am I right?" Green Rocket explained. "I guess that makes sense," Bubbles stated. "So how do we plan on finding Midnight Jon?" Blossom asked. "Since he's looking for the power of Him which is now a hybrid of black and white Z rays, I believe you girls can find him." Green Rocket suggested. "Wait, how?" Buttercup questioned looking confused. "Well, since you girls have white Z rays flowing through your bodies, I believe you can tap into that power and sense where the other white Z rays are." Green Rocket informed. "You think we can do that?" Bubbles questioned. "It's worth a shot ain't it?" Green Rocket asked back. "I guess, but how would we even begin to do that?" Blossom queried. "Maybe if we take a deep breath and close our eyes to focus on the goodness of the white Z rays, we can track them." Bubbles cheerfully suggested. "Alright! Let's do it!" Blossom agreed as she, Bubbles, and Buttercup took a deep breath and closed their eyes. Nack and Green Rocket stared in suspense as the three girls begin to have a bright, white glow form around their bodies.

Both warriors turn to look at each in surprise and then look back right as Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup yell in unison as the white glow disappears, "Alright! We have the spot! Let's go, full throttle!" They then lean forward on the controls causing the robot to rocket off at insane speeds. "I'm guessing you girls got a lock on the Z rays?" Green Rocket asked while holding on to the back of Blossom's seat. "Yup! We felt its presence very close to here and so that's where we're heading," Blossom replied. "It's thanks to you Green Rocket that we were able to discover that we could sense Z rays like Poochi can!" Bubbles beamed. "Ya, we would never have thought to try it without you mentioning it," Buttercup added. "Well it's nothing really," Green Rocket gestured scratching the back of his head, chuckling with a smile on his face. "You had no idea if that would work or not did you?" Nack questioned Green Rocket. "Nope! I just went with my gut like I usually do!" Green Rocket answered with a smile on his face and a thumbs up to Nack who simply smirks as he states, "Heh, you never cease to surprise me Faker."

"Hey guys, look over there!" Bubbles stated as she pointed to a black and white meteor-like shape rocketing nearby. "There it is! The black and white Z rays!" Blossom shouted. "Okay, if that's the Z rays, then where's Midnight?" Buttercup asked. Just then, a blast hits Dynamo Z sending it flying into a asteroid. "Argh, what hit us?" Green Rocket wondered. Then Green Rocket, Nack, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Blossom look up to see Midnight Jon staring at them with his arm cannon pointed right at them. "Found him," Nack remarked. "I was wondering when you'd show up!" Midnight snickered with an evil smile on his face. "Why you Midnight! Just how did find out about Him's power anyways?" Green Rocket asked sternly. "Well, since you and your friends here are going to get destroyed anyways, I might as well tell you. You see, after getting beaten by you for the fiftieth time, I decided to look across the multiverse for a way to destroy you and get my revenge. I searched and searched and I almost gave up. Until I noticed something out of the corner of my eye, so I zoomed in on it and saw this universe and that puny little jester's power was amazing! I just knew I had to get it for myself! So after months of analyzing and research, I had found out that his power was not entirely sent away, it circles the this Earth's outer orbit far out of range of most scanners. So I decided to get this power and with it, I would finally destroy you and your annoying and pathetic friends!" Midnight explained and then laughed wickedly.

The group just gives him a awkward stare until Green Rocket asks, "Um... quick question, why did you attack the city if you wanted to grab the power first and then kill us? Midnight just rolls his eyes and replies, "Well I wanted to eliminate any possible threats to my plan in this universe, so I attacked the city to draw the protectors of this universe to their deaths, and you all know how that went." "Don't remind us!" Buttercup retorted crossing her arms. "Um, I don't know what happened because I wasn't here remember," Nack butted in. Green Rocket puts his hand on Nack's shoulder and tells him, "Don't worry Shads, I'll tell ya when we are on the way back."
