Chapter 5|Letters|

POV: Anastasia Kaslav nee Beaumont

I was pacing back and forth in my husband and I's room. It's been around two weeks since Tia's first day at Hogwarts. And all Aleks and I have been doing is contemplating how to get Sirius out of Azkaban. He deserves to see his son. We couldn't contemplate this before because of the risk of Dumbledore making it worse. But seeing that he has his hands more full this year with not only Tia, but also 'the boy who lived 1' and 'the boy who lived 2'(Ie. Hadrian and... Longbottom.) we could have a chance. But we also had to be more subtle.

Breaking him out from prison would be an option, but we have to keep our image up. No one knew we were DeathEaters and we don't need people suspecting us now. We hid our darkmark with glamours so it was unseen. Breaking Black out would make people suspicious of not only the outed DeathEaters but also our Lord coming back. And poor Hadrian wouldn't be able to see his father in public, so that was out of the question.

Just then, a small house elf popped into the room. "Yes, Linny?" I asked the elf calmly.

"Master needses Mistress in his study." The elf said softly.

"Thank you, Linny. Can you please tell him I'll be there in a second?" I say calmly.

"Linny will tellses Master." The elf said, then popped away.

I walked over and opened the door of the bedroom and began walking down the hall, and after the short trek, I reached the study. I opened the door and I walked in.

"Well you look just ravishing, Darling." Aleksander teased.

"Thank you, Dear. Now why'd you need me?" I said calmly, sitting down on the armrest of his chair, and he started to play with the hair at the end of my braid.

"Sending a letter to Madame Bones about Sirius's lack of trial. Knowing Amelia, she'd be right on it. So that's what I'm about to do. I called you here to inform you, but why don't you help me write this, Darling." He said calmly, a piece of parchment in front of him and a quill in his other hand.

"Fine by me. I'm sure Lilac's dying to finally send a letter. I'm sure she's jealous that Selene got to send something to Tia." I joke calmly.

The next half an hour was spent writing a letter to Madame Bones. We needed this to be perfect. Both professional, but informative. Better to also not lie, but if needed we will. And after those 30 minutes we ended up with this.
Madame Amelia Bones,

We have been informed that one Sirius Orion Black was not given a trial before he was imprisoned in Azkaban by one Albus Persival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot. We believe Lord Black deserves a trial to prove his innocence.

Anastasia Kaslav nee Beaumont, Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, & Aleksander Kaslav, Junior Assistant to the Minister of Magic.

It's short, but it should work. Aleksander folded the letter, and placed it in an envelope, sealing it with our family crest. He then handed it to me, and I headed to the owlery.

Once I got there I walked in, and tied the letter to Lilac's foot, and i pet her breast feathers before sending her on her way to Amelia.

Now it's just waiting.

Thank you very much for the information, I will get right on scheduling Lord Black a trial. I assure you, I was very unaware of this knowledge and will be taking Albus' actions relating to Lord Black's imprisonment to the Minister. I will not guarantee this will lead to his release, but it will give the court more context to his actions.

If you have any information that relates to this case and soon to be trial, please inform either I or the minister. You two will be the first I inform about the trial's date or anything else concerning the trial.

A day later, we received this letter from Amelia, and it put a smile on not just my face, but Aleks' as well. I gently pet Amelia's owl's breast feathers, and give it a sausage before letting it fly back to wherever Amelia sent him from.

Now we need to see how many people we can get to vote for his innocence. Obviously we'd be able to get the Malfoy's and Nott's, we could convince Parkinson, Greengrass, Davis for their votes. Cissy could probably act for the Black vote as well as the Lestrange vote by proxy. Sevy could also act for the Prince seat as well. And Selwyn. That would give us a lot more votes. I'm sure Atticus would be fairly easy to convince.

Then of course Aleksander has the Kaslav seat, and I have the Beaumont seat. And by proxy, Aleksander holds the Gaunt, Peverell, and Slytherin seat because of Tia. So if my math is correct, that means we currently have 170 votes guaranteed to be in favor of Blacks innocence. Let's hope that will be enough.

Aleksander started on the letters informing everyone of the trial, and asking them for their votes in favor of Black, while I started on one informing Tia. She needs to tell Hadrian about his actual name and lineage. He deserves to know, and preferably before the trial. Eventually i landed on this.

We've received a response from Madame Bones about Sirius' trial. She's currently scheduled for his trial. Your godfather is informing some associates and friends of ours to get as many votes as we can in favor of Sirius.

We need you to inform Hadrian about his real name and lineage, soon. Preferably before the trial, and before Yule break. We hope you're enjoying Hogwarts. We all miss you. Your godfather and I would also be more than happy to have both Hadrian and Neville over for the Yule Holiday.

Like I did with the letter to Amelia, I tied it to Selene's foot, and sent her off to Hogwarts.

A/N: sorry this is a shorter chapter. I wanted to do a different POV, and the Kaslavs planning how to get Siri out of Azkaban was kinda perfect. Anyways, as always, Im very open to constructive criticism, please tell me if i made any mistakes, drink plenty of water, eat food. Thank you, and Enjoy!

Question: when exactly should i bring Tomalongadingdong back? Should i do it after 2nd year, or 4th year, or what? I just know i want to do it second year and after.
