POV: Celestia Riddle~~v^v~~
So how should I go about this? I need to tell my friend this very important information without him freaking out, hating me for keeping this from him, or both. I don't want him to hate me. I really like him- not like that, he's not my type. He's been an awesome friend these past few weeks. I've gotten him to start coming out of his shell, and he started to get me interested in Quidditch- speaking of Quidditch, I need to get to Flying class. So far we haven't done much, we learned a few things about brooms, and watched Madame Hooch and a few older students fly, but we ourselves haven't started yet. Until today.
I ran outside the castle where everyone else was, I stood In between Theo and Lavender, a ratty old looking broom on my left side, on the grass. It looked probably as old as that old coot. Once Madame Hooch gave the instructions, both Harry and I held our hands out over the broom, and without saying anything, the brooms flew up and into our hands.
Once everyone eventually got their brooms up, we mounted them... and then Neville flew off at mach speed. Screaming. He eventually got stuck on one of the statues on the top of one of the tower's spears. His robes ripped, and he went plummeting down. He ended up breaking his arm, and Madame Hooch left to go bring him to the hospital wing.
I felt bad for him. I'd be sure to go check up on him later with the others-
"Hey look at what Lestrange dropped. How about we let him have something to look for once he's off is arse." Longbottom stated, arrogantly, a smirk of equal caliber on his face.
I turn around to see him holding a necklace, a silver chain with a black dantura and a red poppy on it. I knew it was the last thing he had from his mother before she was incarcerated. Johnathan was holding it out so everyone could see it.
"I wonder who got him this. It's probably the ugliest thing I've seen. If I got something like this, I'd immediately throw it in the nearest fireplace." He laughed.
"Give it back Longbottom." I state coldly, glaring at him.
"And why should I do that, Circus Freak?" He sneered. Putting the rest of the necklace in his hand.
I gritted my teeth at that name, he didn't know the shit i went through that night. But my thoughts were interrupted. "Because it's our friend's. It's not yours to take, Longbottom." Harry sneered at Longbottom, to both his and I's surprise.
"Well then, if you want it, then come get it." He sneered, getting on his broom, and flying away.
"What's the matter? Bit far out of your reach, Circus Freak? Pottah?" He arrogantly teased.
In my mild rage and heavy annoyance, I hopped on my broom, and bolted off in his direction. But it seemed like Harry had the same idea and he bolted after him as well. Both of us stopping on either side of the Longbottom Heir.
"Give it back Longbottom." Harry sneered.
"Or what?" He teased once more.
"Or I'll knock you off your bloody broom." I gritted through my teeth.
"Alright, fine. I'll give it back." He said, but I saw a smirk on his face. Oh merlin what was he about to do? Then, he turned, raising his fist holding the necklace above his head, moved it back, and threw the necklace as far as he could. Immediately both Harry and I raced for the necklace. Somehow, I was faster. I dived down right before it was about to hit the ground, and caught it. I was so relieved that I didn't even see I was right in front of Professor Snape's office, and so was Harry. We flew back down to the ground and all the Slytherins, as well as Lavender and Pavarti, were running over to us, cheering. I could see Johnathan sneering at us in the background as I dropped the necklace in my robes pocket.
