[ xxvii ] | Normal is overrated guys

Kai woke up and hit his head on the headboard of his bed as his phone buzzed next to him. He goarned and rubbed his head with a curse. "Wake up sleepy potato"

"I like fries tho" Cole peeked up from under the covers. Kai smiled and ran a hand through the ravenette's hair. "I'm hungry now" Cole raised an unamused eyebrow and Kai shrugged. Cole sat up next to Kai on the bed and yawned, "Good morning to you too I guess"

"Sorry about that, I just... Feel a little tired than usual today" Kai looked down. Cole nodded, "Maybe it's the pain killers" he gestured to Kai's chest. The brunette bit his lip and nodded. He touched his chest again, that bullet had almost killed him but luckily it missed the vital organs to probably do some damage to the brunette.

"Nya is going to flip now" Cole chuckled -taking Kai's attention back. "She wouldn't mind -she's more mature than you and me" Cole raised an eyebrow. Kai nodded, "I guess the stronger medicine hits harder -sorry about last night; I feel like I didn't give it my best"

"Hey, don't worry about it -You have nothing to apologize for it" Cole reached for Kai's cheek and cuddled his face. Kai leaned in and kissed him, slowly pushing his chest back and laying Cole down on the bed. Cole moaned into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Kai's neck as the brunette pulled back the rim of the other's boxers. "Take it easy Kai -you have 10 stitches" Cole said as Kai gasped for breath against his lips. The brunette turned red and looked away, "I guess the medication also did mention something about mood swings-" Kai interrupted him with another kiss- this time more rougher.

"I got shot -I'm not pregnant Cole." he scowled. Cole's ears turned red and he chuckled, "Okay, I'll remember that," he winked and Kai rolled his eyes sarcastically.

Kai bent backwards in his chair, he stretched his arms back and yawned. Lectures seemed more boring than before and he missed Cole already. They had the next class together but it seemed light years away.

He got his missed work -which was a lot. It was his final year after all- so if he has any plans of graduating he had to keep up. The crimes have seemed to died down as Kai didn't hear from Rune. He nibbled on his pen as he read one sentence over for the 5th time. He sharply exhaled through his nose and tried to concentrate but his chest hurt again and he got a headache from it.

He sighed and took his phone out -he had a text from Nya, Kai's eyes widened and he quickly stood up, "Bathroom please!" He yelled a little louder than anticipated. The professor looked a little surprised but nodded and Kai bacically flew out of his seat and ran out with his bag.

He escaped campus and headed to the garage. He quickly got out the car and ran inside and slammed open the door, "What's the emergency??!" He said, breathless. Nya jumped as she had her back to him in the desk.

"You said it was important?" The brunette looked over her shoulder, "You're a little hyper today brother" she raised an eyebrow. "I came early and I called everyone else. Mr. Wu and our parents should be here too" Kai nodded but a little confused.

After everyone had gathered Nya pulled out an article. Kai leaned in the wall with his arms crossed, Ray and Maya were next to him with grim expressions.

"Recognized anyone?" Nya tapped to the screen of a picture and a news article. Kai paused, he recognized the brownish ginger hair- which was slicked back in a polar opposite style. "Jay" Zane said what was on everyone's mind. "And Alex" Kai glared. He turned his gaze to Lloyd who was quiet through the entire thing. He was worried of course but he didn't quite sure how to address the situation.

"Lloyd...." He began, the blonde flinched and pretended to not look as bothered. ",Is there something we should know?" The brunette raised an eyebrow, getting suspicious. Lloyd shook his head, "No -its all good" Kai didn't buy it which he did make the mistake of before. "Come on -I'd like to know- we all do" Cole shot him a warning glare but Kai ignored him. He walked up to the blonde with an intimidating look in his eye.
