The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains as Maya and Carina woke up, the warmth of the previous night's moments still lingering between them. After a leisurely breakfast, Maya suggested they go on a hike to the waterfall, a hidden gem on the property that she was eager to explore. Carina, curious and enticed by the idea of spending more time alone with Maya, agreed.
Maya checked in with her team unsure as to how much cell service she would once they were on the trail. With work still underway on the business deal, Maya grabbed two water bottles ready to head out on the trail.
As they set out on the trail, the crisp morning air was invigorating. The path wound through lush greenery, the sound of birds chirping and leaves rustling creating a serene backdrop. Maya and Carina walked side by side, occasionally brushing against each other, their conversation light and filled with teasing banter.
"You know," Carina said with a playful smile, "I didn't take you for the hiking type. You seem more like a luxury gym kind of person."
Maya chuckled, nudging her with her shoulder. "I like a good workout, whether it's in a fancy gym or out in nature. Besides, I figured it would be nice to show you a different side of me."
Carina raised an eyebrow, her smile widening. "Oh, I'm definitely interested in seeing all sides of you," she teased, making Maya laugh.
Maya chuckled softly, a hint of pride in her voice. "I realized this is not exactly the slow pace we had discussed when changing the dynamic of our relationship."
Carina's eyes softened, and she reached out to touch Maya's cheek. "I can see that but my body is just craving you and we are so good together so why not let it flow between us. This whole situation, our arrangement... it's complicated. But I feel like we're finding our way through it, one step at a time."
Maya nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Yeah, it's definitely complicated. I mean, we went from an arranged marriage that was supposed to be purely business to... this." She gestured between them, indicating the undeniable chemistry and connection they were developing. "It's a lot to process."
Carina smiled, a mixture of affection and contemplation in her gaze. "It is. But I'm glad we're taking the time to explore what this could be. I wasn't sure at first, but now... I feel like there's something real here. We have built a friendship and are now starting to build a relationship off of that friendship. Isn't that the way it is supposed to go."
"You do realize that I have never really had a true relationship, well one that wasn't over in a matter of weeks. You did read the articles about my personal life, did you not." Maya laughed as she jumped down on to a smaller ledge, holding her hand out to help steady Carina.
Their playful teasing continued as they hiked, the trail becoming slightly more challenging as they approached the waterfall. When they finally arrived, the sight was breathtaking. The waterfall cascaded down into a clear pool, the water sparkling in the sunlight. The sound of the rushing water filled the air, adding to the enchanting atmosphere.
Carina pulled her phone out and began to take pictures of the waterfall, Maya and the waterfall, and both of them in the waterfall.
Maya led Carina to a spot behind the waterfall, where the roar of the water softened, creating a private, secluded area. The cool mist from the waterfall kissed their skin as they stood close, the intimacy of the moment palpable. Maya looked into Carina's eyes, her gaze intense and filled with emotion.
Without a word, Maya leaned in and kissed Carina deeply, their bodies pressing together as the sound of the waterfall enveloped them. The kiss quickly grew heated, the electric connection between them undeniable. Maya's hands roamed over Carina's back, pulling her closer, while Carina's fingers tangled in Maya's hair.
