Daylight eats away at my soul as I think of you at every waking hour.
You're the sun, the lights, the colours.

When I rise at the beginning of each day you're the first thing that leaks through my blinds and into my mind. Your beauty and brilliance slowly sufficate the darkness and I have nothing to fear.

I love your comforting warmth on my skin. As the day goes on I feel you burning brighter inside me. My thoughts of you are less bearable than the midday heat. If you were to crack a smile my heart would be sure to melt.

It's when my shadow starts to grow longer that I grow anxious. Anxious to see you decend into the horizon. When you spread your colours... when my eyes can truly reach yours and you smile in purple, pink, and red, and orange.

Once you have sunk into the horizon I'll rush to a place where I can meet you in my dreams.
