Vance's pov:

My eyes fluttered open as I felt the sunlight burn through the cracks of my blinds. I smiled to myself as I saw Bruce sound asleep in my bed. I would normally wake him up, but then I remembered his insane schedule he had told me about, and he looked too peaceful to wake up in that moment. I placed a quick kiss on his forehead and got up. I needed a shower, so I grabbed a random towel and spare clothes. I wondered into the bathroom, taking everything off, including my bracelets. I stared at my body in the mirror. I had deep hickeys all over. This would be hard to explain. At least I had the curtesy to only mark Bruce where no one else would see. Guess he had other plans. I turned the shower on and stepped in, letting the cold water run down my body. My mind drifted off to last night, and I couldn't stop smiling. I wish I could've realised I actually liked him earlier.

Once I was finished in the shower, I got changed and went to the kitchen. I was starving. As I pulled the milk out of my fridge, the phone began to ring. I sighed as I walked over, picking the phone of the wall.

"Hello?" I spoke into the phone, waiting for a response.

"Yo, it's Robin." The other end spoke.

"What's up?"

"Just checking up on ya!" He laughed. How did he have so much energy in the morning. "Soo, you and Bruce had a good time yesterday?" I could practically hear his smirk in the way he talked.

"Yeah. He stayed over last night." I informed him. I could hear him chuckle.

"Save me the details." I rolled my eyes.

"Noted." The line went silent for a moment.

"Vance?" Robins voice changed. He sounded more serious.

"Yeah?"

"Have you told Bruce about what Roxy told you?" My mood instantly dropped as I began to feel guilty.

"No." I sighed. I know I should, but I couldn't bring myself to.

"You need to tell him it soon. The longer you wait, the worse it'll be." I hummed.

"Well, Robin. I can't even bring myself to fully believe it at the moment." I explained.

"Well, you better believe it. And if you don't tell him soon, I'll tell him." I sighed sadly.

"Yeah, alright. I'll speak to you later." I hung up the phone, angry that he even brung it up. Way to kill my good mood. I went back to the kitchen and grabbed the cereal box and milk, putting them into a bowl. I heard lousy footsteps approaching. I turned around to see Bruce. He was still in my clothes and he looked exhausted.

"Morning." He dragged his face down in tiredness.

"Hey. You alright?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I'm tired." He explained, and I just nodded. "Who were you talking to on the phone?" He heard that?

"Just Robin." I shrugged as I opened the drawer to grab a spoon. "You want breakfast."

"Sounds great." He limped towards the table to sit down. I pulled out a bowl for him and put the milk and cereal. I placed it on the table as I sat down next to him. "Thanks."

"Hey, you seen my neck?" He looked up at me and smirked. Obviously, he was proud of his work.

"I'm an artist, and you are my canvas." He giggled, and I just rolled my eyes.

"You're a total dork." I laughed as pouted towards me. The door creaked open, and my mum appeared. I wonder where she was last night? "Morning, ma." She frowned as she looked between me and Bruce.

"You guys look like you've been dragged through hell." She raised her eyebrows at me. Me and Bruce just smirked at each other as we looked back down at our cereals. "Bruce. Did you have a nice night?"

"Yeah. It was great." Bruce smiled to himself.

"You do know that now you two are together. You'll have to keep the bedroom door open at all times." I scoffed.

"Mum." She put her finger up.

"I'm not finished." I sighed as I leant back in my chair. She's been wanting me and Bruce to actually happen for months now, and now she was setting all these ground rules. What a hypocrite. "Vance. You will tell me every time Bruce comes over. He will leave at the latest at 11 pm. He will only stay over with my permission. Am I clear?" I rolled my eyes. She seriously can't be serious.

"Yes, mum." I groaned.

"Yes, Mrs Hopper."

"And Bruce, if you hurt Vance, I will never like you again. And Vance, if you hurt Bruce, I will beat you." That seemed fine as I had no intention of hurting Bruce in any way.

"You're being absurd." I spoke as I took Bruce's empty bowl. His eyes seemed to wonder down at something, but I couldn't tell what, so I didn't question it. I walked over and put it in the sink.

"No. I'm being a responsible adult." Bruce came closer to me.

"Vance. Can we talk in your room?" He looked upset. I nodded as we went down the hallway and into my room.

"Door open!" I heard my mum call. Me and Bruce stood at the end of my bed. I couldn't tell what this was about.

"So? What's this about?" He looked me in the eye, and I grew nervous.

"Your arm." My heart dropped, and it became hard to breathe.

"Fuck." I whispered to myself. I had forgotten to put my bracelets back on. They weren't just for accessories. They were to hide my cuts. Old and new ones.

"Vance. Are you ok?" God, why was this happening now?

"Bruce. I think you should leave now." He frowned at me.

"Vance." I took a shakey breath, and I looked away from him.

"Please go home. I'll talk to you on Monday." I pleaded. Bruce went on his tip toes and placed a small kiss on my cheek before leaving the room. Someone kill me. I wiped away any tears before they dared to fall.
