(Mention of sh and homophobic language)

Vance dumped himself on the sofa, carefully adjusting so he didn't hurt his ribs. They had been killing like hell. He might've cracked them. He should probably get them checked out.

"Bruce. Come here. I wanna cuddle." Vance called as he watched Bruce stand awkwardly. Bruce stared at him cautiously.

"I don't want to hurt you." Vance scoffed.

"You won't. I promise." The blonde insisted. Bruce thought it over before climbing on top of Vance, lying down. He wrapped his arms around the others body and rested his head on Vance's chest. He could hear the rhythm of his heart. It was slow and controlled. Bruce found it calming. He yawned, and his eyes grew heavy.

"You tired?" Vance asked. Bruce hummed. Vance's hand travelled up the back of Bruce's shirt. He kept going until he reached Bruce's shoulder blades. He digged his fingers into them, moving them in a certain way, forcing Bruce's back to arch and a soft groan to leave his lips.

"God, that feels nice." Bruce mumbled, causing Vance to chuckle softly. "How are you so good at that?" Bruce exhaled as it became almost impossible for his eyes to stay open.

"Go to sleep. I'll wake you up in thirty minutes." Vance demanded. Bruce was going to argue, but he couldn't as he began to drift off. After who knows how long he woke up again. Vance was still awake and running his fingers through Bruce's hair.

"Vance?" Bruce mumbled tiredly. He looked up, staring into Vance's eyes.

"Yeah?" Vance smirked down at Bruce.

"About Saturday..." Bruce began. "I'm sorry for bringing it up. It wasn't any of my business." He explained. He couldn't get it out of his head, and he felt really bad about it. Vance cupped Bruce's face with his hands.

"Don't be sorry. I shouldn't have kicked you out. I just freaked out." Vance rubbed the pad of his thumb along the under part of Bruce's eye. "I haven't done it in a few weeks." Vance admitted. He was trying to be better. It was hard, but he really was trying.

"Good." Bruce smiled softly. Vance pulled their faces closer together, landing a soft kiss on his lips. Bruce kissed back, turning it into a small make-out session. Vance's mum cleared her throat as she made her presence known. Vance and Bruce quickly pulled away from each other, their faces growing red in embarrassment.

"Oh, hi mum." Vance said awkwardly. He didn't even realise the time.

"You didn't tell me Bruce was coming around." Julie crossed her arms. "You know you're grounded."

"I'm sorry. He didn't know I was coming. I just wanted to check on him, and then we were doing some...studying." Bruce explained. Julie stared at the both of them.

"Yeah, looks like a lot of studying has been going on." She scoffed. "I'm sorry, Bruce, but you're going to have to leave. Vance is grounded for getting suspended."

"Mum!" Vance began to argue. He could understand not being allowed to watch tv but not being able to hang out with Bruce?! It was like torture.

"It'll teach you not to get into fights in school." She shrugged as she walked into the kitchen.

"Can I say bye, at least?!" Vance called. Awaiting the answer.

"Say goodbye, then he's leaving." She ordered. Vance huffed as the two got up and walked to the front door. Vance pulled Bruce close by the hips.

"I'll see you Friday." He smiled.

"Yeah. Have fun being grounded." Bruce joked, causing Vance to roll his eyes.

"Good luck speaking to Kenji." Vance said. 'I'm going to need it.' Bruce thought to himself. They gave each other a quick kiss before Bruce left.

(Time skip)

As Bruce entered his house, tension built in his stomach. He knew Kenji was home as his car was there. He didn't know why, but he was kind of scared. He didn't know how Kenji would react. He walked up the stairs and stood outside Kenji's room. He better knock. Who knows what he could be doing. Bruce exhaled sharply before he knocked on the door.

"Come in." He heard. He twisted the door nob and entered. He stood there unsure on what to say. "Oh, it's you." Kenji mumbled as he looked back to the textbook he was reading. Bruce stayed silent, waiting for Kenji to say something. But he didn't. He acted as if Bruce wasn't there at all.

"I was just around Vance's..." Bruce began. Kenji remained silent as he wrote a few things down on some paper. "He said you know about us." The tension in his stomach only grew, making him feel ill. "Kenji! Say something!" Bruce screamed, getting quickly irritated. "Yell at me! Call me a dirty faggot! Beat me up! Just stop ignoring me!" He pleaded. He hated silent treatment. "Please. It's killing me." Kenji sighed and put his pen down, turning to look Bruce in the eyes.

"Bruce. I don't care that you're gay. Hell, i knew it ages ago." Kenji said.

"Then why did you fight Vance? Why not talk to me?" Bruce asked. He couldn't understand it. He could never understand Kenji. He did what he wanted and never told anyone why.

"Because I know Vance. I've known him longer than you. He's trouble." Kenji explained simply. "I don't want him to drag you down with him." Bruce scoffed.

"Well, you clearly don't know him enough. He can be really kind." Bruce defended. He hated how everyone always thought of his as no good. He was just misunderstood.

"Whatever. I can't force you to leave him alone. But when something happens, just know I told you so."
