How can someone be beautiful on the outside
But ugly on the inside
Like two different people residing in one body?
Positively,
Their outward beauty shines like a beacon
Drawing admiration and envy from those around
Their smiles
Their eyes
Their grace
Appeal to all who see them
Negatively,
Their inner ugliness festers
Like a poison eating away at their soul
Their words
Their actions
Their intentions
Reveal a darkness that clouds their beauty
But perhaps in the complexity of human nature
The dichotomy of beauty and ugliness coexist
Balancing each other out in a fragile harmony.
For who are we to judge
The intricacies of another's being
Beauty is not skin deep
But resides in the depths of the heart and mind
