It's been a few days since the courtroom trial. Before that day, the only bit of information he could give to Cassie, in regards to the Maya case, was the broken and missing earring that was broken during a party. But now, with the information that Martha and Jacqueline have some kind of connection with each other, that called into question what his relationship with her was. But other than that, he needed to get a comprehensive list of evidence he's gathered if he was going to meet with Cassie today.

He sat at his desk, at work. Instead of using the document software on his computer, he instead wrote everything down on a bigger notepad than what he carries with him while he's on duty. He had to move his keyboard and mouse in order to have the room to write everything down, which was par for the course when the rest of his peripherals were old and outdated and every folding chair he sat in almost breaks.

(F/N) remained hunched over the notepad, pen in hand scribbling down all the information he could've gathered over his time spent working on the force.

Of the information he got, he went with what was publicly available. He wasn't about to pin this all on the Cockleones if it turned out that it wasn't them that committed the kidnapping. He jotted down the van, the license plate of the van, what it's possible occupation was, and a description of who it was that operated it. Those were potential suspects, but not enough for him to approach and ask questions.

Then he jotted down the information he got from Gwen, Maya's roommate at the college; how Maya was returning to the party so that her earrings could be repaired. The kidnapping happened before she would have reached the front doors of the dormitory, so chances are that if that earring piece is lying anywhere inside the vans, they would be able to find evidence that the van in question was used to kidnap the mayor's daughter. The only problem is; even though that would prove the van in question was used, it still doesn't prove that it was the Cockleone's that kidnapped her.

(F/N) stopped here when he wrote down that portion of what he found. He tried to think of different ideas that could point to them being the ones behind it, but he had no proof and he had no understanding of how the family operates. The only information he could glean was that the family only accepts females among its group. But that doesn't really seem like the proof to bring before a jury in order to say concisely that they were the ones at fault. For a moment, he thought about adding Brandy, the undercover cop who was sent into their known location to scope out information, but at the same time she's undercover. He found it best not to go ahead and reveal her location to anyone else.

For the next bit of information, (F/N) started writing on a new page, written under "miscellaneous". He wrote down his observations of Jacqueline and how Martha was also in the courtroom and he didn't know about it. He jotted down about Martha's stare and how Jacqueline was scared of her. After writing it all down, the observation just seemed rather miniscule in comparison to the evidence he's gathered for the case right now, but at the back of his head he could feel that it was connected in some way. Why was Martha there for trial? Why was Jacqueline looking over at Martha, and only Martha? It definitely served as a good POI (Person Of Interest), but he couldn't really slot it into the investigation until he knew more.

That was certainly a separate sort of investigation. However, as he sat there at his desk thinking on that by itself. There was a part of his thinking process that stuck out to him, made him think that he was treating something as miniscule as a look between two people like they were secretly sharing confidential information. But the suspicions were there; why would Martha sit so far in the back of the courtroom that she was practically hidden? Why was Jacqueline scared of Martha? Why did Jacqueline continue looking over at Martha for answers to questions? There was something underneath the surface that he needed to unmask. He needed answers.
