The trip to Arseworth Castle felt like a dream to (F/N) and Nancy, but it was very much a reality. Not only do ghosts exist, but one of the most evil people on the planet lived just right outside the city. While they may not have been able to do anything about the portrait, due to the current presence in the castle, they were able to have that residence completely closed to everyone. In telling Officer Juggs about the incident, though he sounded crazy, she agreed and closed it down.

The strangest part about it was that Juggs didn't question him on his testimony of ghosts and spirits. She didn't try and use scientific evidence as a way to disprove what he saw, if anything she jotted everything down and then tucked it away into a peculiar file. When assured that the threat was contained, Juggs assured him that she'll get in contact with the proper people who are equipped to deal with such a thing.

Just what exactly has happened in Meet N' Fuck Metropolis that would lead to the police contracting people like priests and exorcists? Were there really instances where this is just a normal occurance to them? Just as (F/N) was slowly starting to come around to the weird names here, he's thrown for a loop when he learns about the supernatural!

Of course, of his report he left out the part where he is related to the alchemist who was also in the building. It didn't seem entirely relevant; just that he looked like him and is related to him. He had no special magical powers, no knowledge of alchemy, so the most that he could do is just tackle someone to the ground or fire his gun if the need arises.

As Juggs sat down, and (F/N) stood up to leave, the door to her office opened up without a knock. Both of them quickly turned their heads, and there they saw that it was the mayor himself!

He was there without any sort of bodyguards, and he had a seemingly innocent, yet sickening, smile to his face.

"Mr. Mayor?" Juggs said to him, raising an eyebrow at him. "To what do I owe the...pleasure." His smile grew wider at the word, and at the presence of the golden cop in the office with him right now. He approached, bringing his hands behind his back, like he was royalty or of a higher class.

"I just wanted to stop by to make a request, but seeing that the officer is here my stay will be quick." When he turned his gaze to (F/N), his eyes went a bit darker than before. (F/N) could tell that the mayor had many things to say to him, but to keep appearance he kept his mouth shut. He got closer to (F/N). "I heard about your...success at the Buxom Beaver, Mr. (L/N)," the mayor pointed out, looking over (F/N)'s body, as if looking for weak points. "You've managed to help the police department gather enough evidence for convictions. Good job." His tone and demeanor also changed, each word he spoke he was slowly getting deeper and deeper. (F/N) had expected him to say something more, or perhaps he was waiting for a response.

"Thank you...sir," (F/N) replied. Seeing the mayor brought (F/N)'s attention back to his own investigation, the main thing he's been focused on for the time he's been in the city; he's looking for the mayor's daughter, Maya. The Arseworth Castle was a slight detour, nothing really gained there that helps him in his case. A quick refresher reminded (F/N) that the only evidence that could firmly link the Cockleone's to the kidnapping is the broken earring that came off during the assault, which is likely inside the van used to abduct her. And there was also the visit from Mrs. Cockleone herself, her request to help the women would lead to her turning over a new leaf and using her forces to help the city rather than trying to control it.

What (F/N) was doing, he was doing so that Maya can be released and returned to her family, though her current family member was someone of a questionable standard.

"There's just one thing I ask of you, (F/N). Can I call you (F/N)?" The mayor asked, and before (F/N) could even answer his question the mayor wrapped an arm around him and pulled him close. A feeling of disgust washed over (F/N) as he felt the mayor's hands rest on his shoulder, the sight of it only led (F/N) to wonder just where exactly those hands had been. "You see, while you helped lock up the Bodines, there's still a...security risk. We spend months planning, preparing, and executing these plans so that we can get a tight conviction," as the mayor spoke his hands were animated, waving around and clenching his fist tightly, "now I ask this because I care, and because you're known to throw yourself headfirst into any situation to help someone. But, maybe stick to your patrols and let the professionals handle this. Okay? Otherwise, you can kiss being a detective goodbye." (F/N) turned his head to face the mayor, looking into the sick man's eyes. The mayor just smiled a bit wider, rubbed his shoulder, and then headed towards the exit. (F/N) wasn't quite sure why the mayor was at his throat for helping. During the course of his tenure as a police officer, he's never gotten any sort of write ups or admonishments from Juggs. And for a first offense like this didn't make any sense as to why it was immediately going to be termination of his job as an officer.
