For his second day on the job, after his trial by fire with his ride-along with Jasmine, (F/N) as greeted with his own desk. Police officers are given their own desks. So when (F/N) entered the police department again for his second day at work, he was shown to his desk, his little table where he would be organizing files for his cases, solving crimes, and to place his medals and awards.

It was a small desk, comparable to that of a desk you find in school. It was wide enough to hold a monitor, keyboard, and phone, and nothing else. The mouse for his computer barely hangs on to the edge and tries to maneuver through the desk without falling off. He only had two filing cabinets, with one drawer to each of them. They were big enough to hold their own files, but for anything like cards, pencils, pens, and other similar objects they were best kept in a little cup (wherever he could put one).

In the bustling police department, (F/N) just stared at his own desk, looking over what little there was on it, as well as the worn and used folding chair that he was given. Really a sign of humble beginnings when your desk doesn't even have enough space to hold even a wrist rest at the bottom of the keyboard. (F/N) glanced over to where Jasmine's office was, able to see her figure through the window as she talked to someone on the phone. He was a bit envious that she had such a big and spacious office, while he was stuck with a thrift store variant.

With a small sigh, he pulled the chair back and sat down, staring at his blank monitor screen. But as he looked, he noticed something on the edge of the monitor; a little sticky note with a message on it that read, "Check your files." An arrow was drawn pointing to the drawer in particular where his files were held. He looked over towards the mundane, gray drawer and pulled it open. He had to wrestle with it, the rust in the railings making it difficult to pull open, but once he was able to look inside he saw that he had multiple manilla folders, and resting on top of the folders was another sticky note.

"I took the liberty of filing away your reports for you. Welcome to the force. -JJ." (F/N) picked up the note and read it closely, his eyes lingering on his welcoming and the person who signed it; JJ. He had a good idea as to who did that, leading him to turn his head back to look at Jasmine's office. There, he could see that Jasmine was looking over at him, giving him a smile, before turning the blinds in her office to obscure everyone's view. (F/N) looked back at the note, and then the files in his cabinet. Everything, from Justin's arrest to the perverted country redneck's arrest. All he had filled out during the arrest, but he never had the time to file it away. After their trip to the cafe, (F/N) drove them back to the precinct and she told him to go home.

Maybe it wasn't all bad. There were still some really good people here that he's friends with. Sure, one of them is the Chief of Police, but it's a friend that he can happily drink with.

But with that said, after (F/N) closed his drawer the metal legs of the folding chair finally gave up and collapsed. The seat of the chair finally broke, and other rusted parts of the chair followed after it. With a loud, metal clanging sound the chair broke and (F/N) fell to the ground, having all eyes on him with such a loud sound. Even Juggs had to take a hurried look, hearing a dangerous sound in her precinct could lead to danger and she needed to act! However, the questions and concerns that entered everyone's mind soon faded when they saw (F/N) pick himself up. His happy expression turning sour when the reality of his shotty desk returned to him.

It was now (F/N)'s time to shine as an officer all on his own. He would have to fight the battles himself, without the figure of the Chief of Police at his side. This was actually a rather good thing for him, as not only was Jugg's figure very distracting, but her body made it difficult at a stop sign; her large assets blocked his view out of the passenger side window.
