The healing

A month. A long month of recovery. Sorscha had been discharged from hospital after a week but she was on strict instructions to not go back to work until a month after the fall. The staff had been around everyday to check in on Sorscha and bring her food, especially Marjorie, Agatha and Autumn. They all cared about Sorscha so deeply and wanted to do anything to aid her recovery.

Sorscha had attended a lot of physical therapy appointments since the accident but since her injuries weren't too severe they were pleased with the improvements she had made. They cleared her to go back to work at the nursery again. At this point the nursery Charlotte had died in was back open, that's where Sorscha was going to be working.

Marjorie was worried about how she would respond being in that environment again, but surprisingly Sorscha was settling back in really well. Marjorie had made sure to be working in the same room as her just in case she needed support but Sorscha was doing really well. Unfortunately, Jodie also had to be in the room with them.

It seemed like the near death experience had given her a new outlook on her work life. She was much more patient with the parents and seemed more joyful than she used to be. Little did Marjorie know this was all a front. Sorscha was really struggling but she was just putting on a brave face for the people around her.

Siobhan and Autumn were working in the office on this day, since Marjorie was working in the room with Sorscha they needed someone to cover. Autumn and Siobhan didn't get on very well but with recent events Autumn had realised the importance of being there for people. Siobhan had gone from having no friends to now having several who genuinely cared about her, especially Vivian.

Vivian and Siobhan were still having regular coffee meetings, they had grown so close. Siobhan didn't like to admit it but she felt like she had a stronger bond with Vivian than friendship, she couldn't imagine her life without seeing her. Siobhan was still with Roger though, and at the moment she couldn't see a way out, so these feelings had to strictly stay below the surface.

Vivan and Sara had been working hard on this case now since Charlotte's death and there was something about these deaths that they felt they were missing. Especially with Clodagh's murder. It had such a different motive than the murders of Charlotte and Carly, almost like it wasn't done by the same person. However, it was definitely connected in some way.

They noted that the killer was very spontaneous, they didn't plan these murders in any way. It was almost like an anger response that bubbled out of control.

At the end of the work day everyone went home as normal, or did they? Little did they know, the killer was following someone home.
