Over the next months, Ella had gotten better at seeing her beauty as her confidence grew and grew. The twins were now one year olds which was crazy for her and Trent to think about. They were able to speak in one word sentences, building their language skills along the way. Ella couldn't help but think back to the moments when they said their first word. It brought her so much joy.

The family all sat together in the living room, Trent holding Tayah and Tahj being held by Ella. They were ten months old, enjoying their parents company. The show that was playing on the TV seemed to have enveloped Tayah's gaze as her eyes were glued to it. It wasn't until one of the characters started talking about to their parents that Tahj paid attention. Trent and Ella suddenly heard him making his usual baby noises, but this time, he was focusing more on it. It was the cutest thing ever. "Ma." He began, trying his best. Ella held him up and turned him around so that he could face her, hopefully making it easier for him to say.

"Say 'mama'" She spoke in a baby voice, knowing Tahj understood what she was saying. "Ma-ma. Come on my love."

"Say 'da-da'" Trent joined in hoping that could change his son's mind. He would be proud and ecstatic regardless.

"No- don't say 'dada', say 'ma-ma.'" She immediately earned a side eye from Trent who was behind climbed on by Tayah, wanting to be held by him, which he did and gave her a little kiss. "Ma-ma."

"Ma-" Tahj repeated this previous attempt. Trent and Ella were used to the twins babbling but this was a first.

"Yeah. 'Ma-ma." Ella was making sure to sound it out for him. This was an unforgettable moment.

"Mama." Tahj finally managed to say the word, causing Ella to squeak lightly. Trent was smiling uncontrollably, feeling overjoyed. He was so proud of his son.

"Well done buddy." Trent leaned over to give him a kiss now. This was a moment that would forever live in their minds.

2 weeks later

Trent and Ella were up in the nursery, getting the babies changed as they were meeting with Tyler and Olivia soon. Tahj got used to saying 'mama' and eventually to saying 'dada' aswell which made Trent beam. They knew it was only a matter of time before Tayah said her first word. Trent changed Tahj into a little black tracksuit which looked adorable on him while Ella was still deciding what to put Tayah in. She decided that a cute little dress would look so cute especially with her matching shoes. It was going to look absolutely perfect on her. Ella also needed to do her hair after which she would just put in a ponytail and add a matching bow afterwards.

"Do you like the dress princess?" Ella giggled as she saw her daughter playing with the dress with her tiny fingers. "Yeah?"

"Mama." Tahj spoke seeing Ella come back from the bathroom where her and Tayah previously were.

"Ma-" Tayah began saying, being influenced by her brother. Trent watched Ella sat her down on the little couch, holding Tahj.

"Yes my love. Say 'mama'" Ella was bent down, looking at her little princess, encouraging her to say it. Trent wanted for one of his kids to say 'dada' first but it was moments like these that were the most important to me.

"Ma-ma." Trent added on, knowing that his competitiveness was going to get him nowhere, so he decided to help his daughter out.
