Marley: Backstabbers

"Bae come on, the movie starts in a hour and I wana get good seats" I yell and tell Monica. "Here I go, here I go" she says as she comes from the back lookin good as hell. Princess comes and run and jump in my lap. "We ready now mama" she says. "Aight" I say as I get up and head to the door. I love our lil date nights, just Princess, Monica and me, a family movie and dinner afterwards.

We finally pull up to theater and have about 20 minutes before the movie start. As were in line getting snacks I see Booms lil sis Apryl and damn that girl done got finer than the last time I see her. She walks up to us.

"Hey Marley" she says. "Hey was up Apryl" I say as we hug. "This must be Princess, Prince is always talking bout her." She says. "Oh I'm sorry, bae this is Apryl, Booms lil sister and Apryl this is my girl Monica". I say. They say hey and hug each other. "So yea, that's all Prince talks about is how much fun him and Princess have and what they do" she says. "Yea, when has he been over there" I ask. "He's always over there, I mean way before Boom got out Toya has been bringing him over there" she says. "Wow, I never knew" I say. She looks confused. "Why the face" I ask. "Nothing" she says. "Naw be real, was up" "well to be real and I'm assuming that you don't know but yo lil homeboy Boom and Ms Toya are" she says as she gives me this look. Monica laughs. "I knew they had something going on" I say. "Look Ima be real with you cause every since Boom was locked up your the only one that looked out for my mom, but Toya and Boom ain't right and if you ever wondered why Prince looks like Boom because like father like son" she says. Just then her friends call her and she runs off. "We'll talk later" she says.

Monica looks at me and smile. "What's funny" I ask. She covers Princess ears and leans over to me. "I knew that bitch was sneaky, that's why I never liked her" she says. Damn that was just like a bullet to the chest, my motherfuckin bestfriend and my so called baby mama. I mean I know me and Toya haven't been together for awhile but that shit hurt, they been holding in to this secret for this long and never told me. He makes it seem like Toya his lil sister, since when did we start fuckin our like sisters.

Monica looks at me and grabs my face and kisses me. She trying to get my mind off that. "Tonight its about us, you, me and Princess. Worry bout that hoe later, better yet fuck that hoe and ya so called homeboy" he says. "Aight" I say then we head into the movies. I'm cool and good. I got my baby girl and my lady. As much as it hurts that now Prince might not be seeing me as much I just have to live with it.

The past few days its just been me and my fam, Princess and Monica, chilling and enjoying us. I haven't heard from Toya, Boom or Prince. I guess they doin they family thing now and don't need me. I lay back down on the couch and continue to watch cartoons with Princess.

My phone rings and I'm not familiar with the number. I answer it anyway it could be a new client. "I need you to come to the hospital asap, its Prince, please hurry" Tecia says as she's crying in the phone. "Bae we gotta go, Prince in the hospital" I tell her. I pick Princess up and we all head out the house to my truck, I don't even think we locked the door. Monica drives, as I'm sitting in the passenger seat im just wondering and prayin that he's ok. What the fuck happened man, I pray my lil man good and it was just a small accident.

We pull up to the hospital and my heart is pounding. Monica goes to the desk and gives them Prince's info. I go have a seat in one of the chairs. As I'm sitting here I'm really hoping its something minor. Princess play with my dreads as I call Toyas phone but its just ringing. I call again and still no answer.

"Bae" Monica says as she waves me over to the desk. The lady hands me a sticker and a nurse takes me to the back. Monica sits in the waiting room with Princess. As I'm walking to the back my heart is still pounding, we finally get to his room and she opens the door.

My heart drops and my eyes get watery instantly as I look at Prince lying in the bed his face is fucked up and he has a cast on his arm. "Damn sis what happened" I ask Tecia as I'm trying to clear my throat. "What didn't happen. All I know is Toya and Boom got into it so Prince was like he want his dad, can he go with you. Then Boom was like that bitch aint yo motherfuckin daddy. Prince was like yes she is then Boom went and jacked him up by his arm and slammed him against the wall. He then start kickin him. When Prince tried to run Boom grab him by his face and slammed him into the ground. I ran in the house as Prince was falling to the ground. Toya stupid ass just sat there and watched the whole thing and her homegirl was yelling at Boom to stop. I called the police, Toya and Boom hauled ass" she says as she starts cryin. Tears just start coming down my face.

I can't believe she let that nigga put his hands on him. "I know that's his biological dad and all but damn I'm the one that raised him and I never hurt him like that" I say. "Fuck her and Boom, I swear when I see Toya I'ma fuck her up. That's the only nephew I got, she let that nigga break 2 of his ribs" she says and right then and there I feel my heart stop.

I stumble a little and fall into a chair. "He did what!" I ask. "Yeah broke 2 of his ribs and his arm. The Doctors wana do a ct scan to make sure he isn't bleeding on the brain" "damn Tecia yo sister done fucked up. I swear when I see that nigga I'm taking his head straight off" I tell her. I Text Monica and tell her to come to the back.

I thought I lost my heart the other day, Thank God he's ok, in pain but he's ok. I filed for full custody of him, hopefully it works in my favor since I'm already his adoptive step parent and my living situation and background is way better than hers and Booms.

I go in the living room and lay on the couch and watch whatever movie Prince and Princess is watching. Toya has been textin my phone all day, she said she called the police and said I kid napped him but the papers I got and good thing I did file them says I have every right to him as she does. Boom has been textin me crazy shit, say he gon fuck me up when he sees me, he gon beat me worse then Prince and how he gon  be fuckin Monica once he's done with me. I dont reply to him cause see all this shit is just evidence in my case to get full custody of Prince.
