Dimitri's Point Of View

There was something cold in the air that made me feel uneasy.

And it wasn't due to the fact that I was about to confront Valor or the fact that the blood moon was just days away. I felt uneasy because of the dream Isabelle said she had.

Something about the panic in her eyes when she told me to be careful made me concerned, not for my well-being but for hers.

I had always felt guilty for dragging her into my cursed world and placing on her shoulders the heavy burden of an entire pack. She didn't deserve to carry the weight of countless lives fate. My little witch always tried to fix everything, if it turns out we don't survive the eleventh Blood moon, she will never be able to forgive herself.

Isabella was strong, stronger than anyone I had ever met I'll admit that, but I'm worried she might break from the burden of holding everyone's fate. The fucking pressure seemed to be getting to her already. I was more worried that she would give up herself just to save us or blame herself if we fail to break the curse.

"Alpha, what's on your mind?" I heard Lance's relaxed voice calling me out from my train of thoughts, as we strolled. We had already arrived at Valor's pack territory, there was no one at the borders to let us in so we let ourselves into his pack. But something was eerily off. Everywhere was quiet. Too quiet.

"Something feels wrong." I alert them, my eyes gazing around. There was no one around, not a single soul, there was definitely something wrong going on.

I could see a black raven sitting on a tree watching us. That was an ominous sign, something definitely terrible is happening.

"Everywhere is strangely quiet, it's weird. A pack should never be this quiet." Gabe said, his eyes scanning our environment.

I sensed sudden silent movement spring into action. Out of nowhere, a silver tipped arrow flew aiming directly for my heart. I snarl, as I catch it, snapping it into two.

"It's a bloody trap!" I growl.

Children of Shanahara rushed out of wherever they hid, all of them ready to attack. Several fierce looking wolves surrounded us, stalking us with predatory eyes.

Seems like Valor was expecting our visit and made preparations to welcome us. They were tasked to kill me by Valor, but this was pathetic because it would take more than fancy bows and wolves to end me.

One of them launched a silver tipped spear at me, I caught it easily, sending it back and I didn't miss. My eyes glows it's usual crimson red color as I begin to shift into my huge lycan form, my wolf Luca was now sharing partial control with me. I let out a deadly growl which caused some of the Shanahara mercenaries to shift and caused the weaker wolves to die on the spot.

"Now this would be fun." I smirk, attacking and clawing through any werewolf standing in my way. This was going to be a very bloody night.

I continued the fight, biting a wolf, severing its head off its body. I needed to find Valor. Quick!

"Go Dimitri. We can handle these guys." Lance wolf said through our mind link. I looked over at Gabe who also urged that I go. I knew they would be okay. I ran towards the pack house, mutilating anyone who tried to stop me.

I follow the disgusting stench of betrayal into Valor's castle, it leads me to a dimly lit throne room.

There he was, Valor. He was seated on a throne, reserved only for the supreme Alpha. He had been waiting for me.

"You finally came to find me. I have been expecting you." Valor gruff voice echo.

"You bloody traitor and coward. You thought you could get rid of me so easily." I snarl, approaching him. He let out a sigh, staring at me deep in the eye.
