It has been four months, and Aidan couldn't find Daiichi, no matter how hard he tried. He hacked into the city's camera's, tricked to hack into the Crimson Reaper's security but always came up short. He was confused and irritated; his temper has gotten ten times worse. There was a storm of rate and desperation swirling inside him, he lost count on how many times he snapped at Ian and Thomas.
"Aidan, listen, we are going to find Daiichi. Orlando made the mistake of taking him, everything will be okay. Orlando made one vial mistake and we were able to trace them. We have an idea as to where they could be," Thomas said. Thomas had a hand on Aidan's shoulder to try and ease the stress that was written on Aidan's face.
"Yeah, we have ears and eyes everywhere. No one makes a move in this city without us knowing, that's a guarantee."
"But what if we are too late?" Aidan's voice was barely more than a whisper, his gaze fixed on the computer screen. He balled his fists, for once in the time that Ian and Thomas have known Aidan, this was a first seeing him so vulnerable. "What if—" He couldn't bare the thought, the words catching in his throat.
Thomas didn't need to know what Aidan was thinking, and he gripped Aidan's shoulders. "Don't think that way, we won't be too late. We came in here to tell you that we saw movement in the old industrial district."
"The one behind the red district that's been abandoned?" Aidan asked, and Thomas nodded his head.
"That's where Orlando has been known to use his hideouts. We're moving in, tonight. We bringing him back," Ian said. Ian placed his hand on Aidan's shoulder as well, squealing it slightly. Aidan closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before nodding his head.
"Alright, I'm coming."
"Not if you don't get some rest," Thomas said, pushing Aidan towards the bed. Aidan didn't fight it, as he slumped onto the bed.
Thomas and Ian took there leave, and Aidan gripped the sheets closing his eyes.
"Hang in there Daiichi, I am coming."
* * *
They were making there way to the old industrial district, but Aidan had a very bad feeling. He couldn't shake that something was waiting for him, he gripped his daggers. He stared out the window. They had to park somewhere, so they wouldn't be spotted but close enough to make an escape if they needed to.
"Hey," Aidan said, and Ian and Thomas looked at him.
"What's up?"
"I have a bad feeling, and these gut feelings are hardly ever wrong."
"Well, yeah, Aidan we are going into enemy territory," Ian said, trying to make a joke.
"You guys should stay back. Let me handle this, Orlando won't kill me that I am sure of..."
"No way, we are going with you, regardless of what you say." Thomas said firmly.
Aidan went to protest, but Thomas got out of the car, parking it in the woods, nearby.
"If anything happens, we will just escape, but we aren't letting you walk into enemy territory alone." Thomas said, and Aidan stood there. He really didn't think they should come, but Thomas was stubborn.
"Just listen to me then, if something goes left, you guys get out of there," Aidan said.
Ian leaned against Aidan as hey walked.
"You know that won't happen unless you are with us, you and Daiichi. So quit trying to talk us into running away. We been doing this for years, got it?"
Aidan groaned softly but nodded his head. They walked into the old industrial district, looking around. Aidan let Thomas lead since they knew what building Orlando would be hiding in.
It only took five minutes before they stood in front of the building. It was huge, but old, and has been abandoned for years. It must have been an old factory building that went out of business over a decade ago. Aidan walked in, Ian and Thomas both following behind. Thomas had his gun, and Ian listened trying to pick up on any sounds.
Aidan kept an eye out for cameras, but there was done. It was like they took no precautions what so ever. This only made Aidan more alert, they silently moved up the stairs, keeping their eyes peeled.
Aidan suddenly pushed Thomas back down the stairs, but Ian caught Thomas.
"What the he—" Thomas was silent, seeing the dagger stick out of the wall.
"I knew it, they didn't take precautions because they knew we were coming, we should have had a better plan then going through the front door," Aidan said. It was Thomas idea, because he said they knew they would be coming.
"How did you even hear that?" Ian asked, and Aidan rushed up the stairs ignoring Ian's question. But when he got up the stairs, he froze. His face went from anger, shock, then horror.
"Aidan what's wrong?" Thomas asked. Ian and Thomas ran up the stairs, to stand beside Aidan.
"Stay back!" Aidan yelled at the two. They stopped; something wasn't right because Aidan rarely showed emotion during a fight.
"Aidan, what's going on?" Ian asked again.
"Why... why are you doing this?" Aidan asked the attacker that through the dagger at Thomas. The attacker said nothing, standing there. Half of his face was covered, but Aidan knew exactly who it was. Thomas and Ian tried to get a looking, but they weren't in a position to see who it was.
But whoever it was, they knew Aidan was struggling on what to do. They never seen Aidan look so upset, horrible.
"Aren't you going to talk to me? Why are you doing this?" Aidan asked, walking closer to the attacker.
