Kirby tiptoed into the familiar, yet desolate part of the house. Though the damage was minimal, the loneliness that clung to the space repelled her. A testament to this was her choice to sleep in Laura's room, a sanctuary on the opposite side.
As she navigated the hallways, her gaze fell on the claw marks etched into the walls-remnants of her transformation. They guided her to an open door, revealing her parents' room. A wave of nostalgia washed over her, interrupted by the stark reality of their absence. Her father, raised alongside Talia Hale, had fostered a belief in coexistence between hunters and werewolves. Her mother, tragically murdered, held a contrasting view.
The specter of Alicia St. Clair, Kirby's mother, loomed large. She would undoubtedly disapprove of Kirby's friendships with an Argent and the blossoming romance between a werewolf and a hunter's descendant. Yet, Kirby, Scott, and Allison were teenagers grappling with self-discovery and burgeoning loyalties. Caught in the throes of adolescence and the supernatural, they were navigating a complex world with evolving hearts and instincts.
A sharp ring jolted her from her reverie. Brushing away tears, she saw Allison's name on the caller ID. One last glance at her family's home, and she turned away.
"Hey, Allison!"

Scott McCall quickly enters the school trying to avoid Allison, which means he has to avoid Lydia and Jackson. He gets comfortable and easy feelings to see Kirby - but his face drops as he spots her talking to Lydia.
"Screw it." He mutters before running up to her and grabbing her arm. "Hi Scott." Lydia says. "I need to talk to you. Now." He says to Kirby pulling her away from Lydia. "What? Scott?" Kirby yells as the two walk down the opposite way of the hallway.
"I need your help staying away from people." He told her, "More specifically Allison." Kirby rolls her eyes as she sighs, "The only person I really try to avoid to stay away from is Stiles. But staying away from Allison is difficult considering she's Lydia's best friend. She's also my friend."
Scott didn't say a word causing Kirby to chuckle and stop him from walking. "This is because of Derek, right?" She asks and he slowly nods. "Can't say I blame him. You suck at being one of us." She mutters, earning a nudge from Scott.
