"Beautiful Monday morning! Beacon Hills High School is back open after being closed Thursday and Friday. Police search continues for alleged killer Derek Hale-"

Kirby picked up her alarm clock and threw it against the wall, letting it smash into tiny pieces. She didn't even know why she had it set because she was already up and dreading going back to school.

The sip of cold coffee made her gag and telling her she should start her day before she could jump back in bed - her new bed.

She went to open the door the same time Melissa started to knock, making the two of them stare at each other. "Oh, you're up." Melissa said shocked as she just had to pull her son out of bed. "I didn't get much sleep." Kirby muttered, "The news," She trailed off her eyes glancing back to the smashed alarm clock.

"If you want to stay home, you can. I know kids can be cruel and you can have another day to unpack your room." Melissa said softly as the piles of boxes made her start to worry. Kirby noticed the look on her face and she instantly felt bad. It just felt wrong to be in the McCall house when she should be avenging her family.

Kirby shook the feeling off as she nodded and walked past Melissa with her backpack and Derek's car keys in her hands.

"I miss being the hidden child and being homeschooled." Kirby muttered to Lydia and Allison as the three girls roamed the school, "They just keep staring." She said glaring at people who kept looking at her.

"It's weird. Everyone's talking about what happened the other night. And nobody knows it was us." Allison said as they all started walking. "Thank you for the protection of minors." Lydia said and Kirby scoffed, "Yeah, unless a douche with a pen and paper writes about you for the newspaper."

"Guys, do you think I made the wrong decision?" Allison asked and Lydia and Kirby looked her up and down briefly. "About that jacket with that dress? Absolutely." Kirby said and Lydia nodded in agreement.

"Hello? Scott locked us in a classroom and left us for dead. He actually left Kirby for dead in the gym. He's lucky we're not pressing charges, or making him pay our therapy bills." Lydia said and Allison looked over to Kirby who sighed. "I can't say anything, but he did tell his mom to take me in. That's a point for him in my book."

Kirby and Allison both walk into class and both girls take their seats in the front. "Allison." Scott says walking up to the girl but she doesn't answer. "Scott," Kirby whispers, "Sit down." She said to him, making him nod.

"You have forty-five minutes to complete the test. Twenty-five percent of your grade can be earned right now by simply putting your full name on the cover." Mr. Harris explains, "However, as happens every year, one of you will inexplicably fail to put your name on the cover and I'll be left yet again questioning my decision to ever become a teacher. So let's get the disappointment over with. Begin."
