Prologue

Darkness has always been there since the beginning of time. It will never leave and it never seems to change. Even when the sun is out, there are places where it will always be dark.

Cold, cruel, and evil.

And to control the darkness, a sorcerer created a weapon to capture the worst of the worst.

When it fell into the wrong hands, the box that was supposed to be everyone's savior caused more pain than anything.

That tiny trinket gave birth to the monsters that roamed the realms.

Finally, it was again sealed away by Merlin the Sorcerer, the apprentice to the wizard who had created the box. He was determined to have it shut away and put an end to the madness. And although he managed to seal Pandora's Box, he failed to collect all the evil that had already escaped.

Desperate, because he knew it couldn't just float around, he created a title. A title that went to a certain human being.

He called them the Dark One.

Merlin collected all the darkness that was in all the realms and plunged it into a single person. Thus the Dark One was born.

When a new Dark One rose, he gave the box to them, always repeating the same thing,

"Pandora's Box lies in your hands. I recommend not ever opening it. If you do, the creatures that lie beyond the box may overpower you. The choice is yours.

Never had the box been opened after hearing this statement. It was closed for more than 1,000 years.

Until recently.

A girl who was raised on a pirate ship and had nothing to aim for in life knew a certain person from her past was trapped in there.

And she hoped it stayed that way.

For that person had damaged, betrayed, and broken her in so many ways that she lost count.

But when the alarm goes off that the box opened, and that someone had escaped, she knew it was him.
She knew soon he would come after her. As much as she wanted to deny it, she had to face her truth.

She knew Peter Pan still sought her out.

And it wouldn't be long before he had her in his clutches once again.
