Town Line

There had been many times when Melody Jones felt fear. Although she refused to show it, it truly made her stomach churn whenever she felt the upsetting feeling.

But this time, the fear was different. It was stronger than ever and more consuming than Melody could've ever predicted. Her blood ran icy cold as she tried her best to keep a calm mind. The overlapping voices from her family and friends were nothing but a growing mumble as she couldn't even hear straight.

The overwhelming feeling finally consumed her and she fell to her knees. She had a hard time responding to her father's concerning voices as she couldn't breathe properly.

In her hazed state, Melody could hear her fathers pleading her to ease her breathing. It wasn't until Snow found the pirate's inhaler that Melody was able to calm down.

She sputtered about until she was able to look at Killian and Rumple. With a rough voice, Melody decided her fate.

"I have to get out of here."

As honorable as Melody's words were, Killian definitely wasn't on board with his only daughter deciding to take off into a land with no magic. The one-handed pirate would rather give up his other hand before he let his daughter go.

As he and Rumple argued over what was best for their shared daughter, Melody was trapped in her room again. The Charming's were having a discussion on what was best for the town now and Melody was one of their topics.

Some, like Regina, were ready to send off Melody over the town line to secure the safety of the town and herself.

Others, like Killian and Snow, insisted the best way to protect her was to have her in town where they could watch her every move.

And then there were some, like Henry and David, who were neutral about the situation and wanted only the best for Melody, whether it meant she had to leave or not.

The meeting was getting nowhere, and Emma and David had to quickly retreat when they got an emergency call that strange monsters had escaped Pandora's Box.

"She needs to leave town immediately, why is this even a discussion?" Regina snapped as she paced the dining room of the Dark One's mansion. Killian growled at her.

"You aren't sending my daughter anywhere. She will be safe with us nearby!" Killian said and gestured to himself and Rumple. Regina made her feelings perfectly clear when she let out a mocking scoff.

"Why don't you just ask what Melody wants to do?" Henry suggested but instantly looked away when everyone glared at him.

"Or not."

"Melody will not hesitate to leave town."

"If Pan escapes and Melody's prediction becomes true, she has a better chance of surviving in a land where he can't use magic."

Everyone stayed quiet as they thought over Regina's words. As true as they were, Killian still didn't want to let go of the clutch he had on his daughter.

As they continued to discuss what could've been a full proof plan, Rumple suddenly stopped with a frown.

"Something's wrong," he muttered.
