"Stay close, sire. They're known as monsters for a reason." The tall, fully armed general ordered the boy in a rough tone. "Relax, General Anthony! We are here to sign a peace treaty- not to be eaten." The boy responded in a relaxed yet hushed tone. The boy was around 16 or 17 in lavish but simple clothing. The boy had pure blonde hair that looked like it was made of the sun itself covering his forehead and trailing down behind his ears, bright blue intelligent eyes, small freckles, pale and smooth skin, and a small gold crown- simple but conveying authority. Among the general and the boy were a dozen soldiers and an older man with greying hair, a small beard, and a stoic presence despite his age traveled down the dark, damp tunnel...in front of the small party was a strange figure with tanned skin, a masculine physique, and to top it all off...two small black horns atop his head and a long, scaly black tail that flicked back and forth...The figure led the party further down the tunnel before hissing "I am sure you Asterians remember our agreement...but I shall remind you. No Draconians shall be killed, nor shall any Asterians. You also will not steal anything you haven't been given, or we shall take tenfold..."
The figure's words were met with an awkward shifting from the surrounding soldiers, a nod from the old man, a growl from the general, and a snort from the boy. "Father, why must we struggle to the Draconian kingdom when they can easily fly over the mountains and stay at ours?" The boy grumbled, which was met with a soft chuckle from the old man "Lucas, my boy...It is a symbol of our peace. As you know the Drakonians are an entire species different from our own...They can shift into the shape of a human, but their true forms are those of large, monstrous dragons with different abilities depending on their bloodline and the color of their scales...hundreds of thousands of years ago humans began to attack the Draconians, who then went into hiding forever...But now we have a chance to start over with this species! We cannot get on their bad side." The king was a wise and powerful man, Lucas knew better than to question him."Oh, I see...but it still doesn't feel right, neither does the Draconian serving as our guide." Lucas said in a cautious tone as he glanced up towards the figure a few feet ahead of them...
After an hour or so more of creeping through the dark tunnel with nothing but torches and the reflection of the soldier's armor to guide them the party finally made it through the tunnel and were greeted with blinding sunlight and a large gust of warm wind...Once Lucas' eyes adjusted to the light his mouth flew agape in awe at the sight before him. The party was standing on a ledge overlooking a large circular canyon of tall mountains covered in carved structures of many different sizes. At the bottom of the canyon was a large river that encircled the largest mountain centered directly in the middle like a moat around a castle. However, the middle mountain was no longer a mountain but rather a large, majestic castle carved out of the mountain itself. With large spiraling towers and hundreds of open windows. But the most incredible part of the view was not the landscape, but what inhabited it. Flying in the air, traveling through the caves, and resting on the sides of the mountains were..dragons. Dragons of almost every color of every shade- except for black and white. Our guide placed his hands on his hips nonchalantly and laughed "Ah, not what you humans were expecting, eh? Welcome to Draconia..."
"the land of scales and fire."
