There the two boys sat, along the edge of the fountain where Lucas had sat earlier, before Nico surprised him. "So...why are you out here?" Lucas queried, Lucas knew that Nico was supposed to be locked deep inside the palace where they originally met, but why was he out sneaking around the courtyard? "Because I can, dummy." Nico huffed with an annoyed expression, Nico was trying to act all tough, but Lucas wasn't having any of it. "We both know that's not the truth. Now spit it out." Lucas grumbled as he crossed his arms and legs, glaring up at the slightly taller boy. "You can't make me do anything! I'm 19!" Nico spat. But Lucas' eyes widened in surprise "W-wait, your 19?" Lucas stammered, he had no idea that Nico was 19...even though they both were the same size and looked around the same age, Nico was 3 years older than him.
"You're making yourself look very dumb right now. Draconians age slightly slower compared to humans, but since I have immortality I age even slower- about 2 years slower." Nico sighed, he didn't seem too happy about looking younger for longer- even though most people would kill for that kind of power. "Oh, no wonder you still act like a child," Lucas said flatly, which earned him a small smack to the bed of the head from Nico, his tail lashing back and forth angrily. But instead of getting mad, Lucas laughed softly, which startled Nico "W-what's so funny?" Nico stammered, looking genuinely confused for the first time.
"Haha, oh, you just look so funny when you're annoyed!" Lucas laughed, but something about the way Lucas laughed made Nico feel so...nervous..."No, I'm not!" Nico huffed, his shoulders tensing. Nico was wearing a silky white button-up shirt with ruffled cuffs, a black hooded cape, no shoes, black pants, and a black corset outside of his shirt... "So...will you tell me why you are out here?" Lucas asked in a soft tone, calming down a little. "...I wanted to make sure that you left. But you didn't" Nico growled in annoyance, which was met with a mere laugh "I said I would, but I didn't say when, now did I?" Lucas smiled innocently, which made Nico boil with rage. Without warning Nico stood up and quickly walked off back into the bushes. "Fine then. You've ruined my fun, so I'll go elsewhere." Nico huffed, "W-wait! Come back! What was all of that about?!" Lucas yelped as he got up and ran after Nico...
