After the treaty had been signed, a large banquet was held. On the other side of the throne room was a large ballroom. Filled with giant chandeliers, indoor balconies, tables, plants, fountains, warm lighting, and a hell of a lot of gold. At least a thousand Draconians mingled about the ballroom, one thing they all had in common was horns, tails, pointed ears, and extravagant clothing. While the 15 humans from Asteria stood off to the side, unsure of what to do. King Adrian was standing with the Emperor up near the thrones, so Lucas stood there alone- wearing a black suit that the Draconian servants had given him. His fluffy blonde hair was pulled back in a small ponytail, and his pendant was laid evenly around his neck. The pendant had a simple silver chain and the pendant itself was made of gold and was in the shape of a sun with tiny gold rays around it and a large, vibrant, dark blue gem in the middle, around the size of a coin. "Too crowded..." Lucas mumbled as he weaved in between Draconians holding glasses of wine and other drinks. Eventually, Lucas made it to the edge of the crowd and a large open arch (about 100 feet tall) that was an open entrance into the courtyard.

Lucas slowly traveled down the wide, short, quartz stairs and onto the soft grass, relishing in the fresh, cold, night air. The courtyard was similar to a balcony the size of half a football field and had two levels overlooking the river and mountains below. All around the courtyard were stone statues of Draconians, stone benches, fountains of varying sizes, and large rows of rosebushes and hyacinths- as well as a few laurel trees. Lucas hummed softly as he calmly walked through the courtyard. Besides the moonlight and the light coming from the ballroom, the courtyard was completely dark. Lucas gently sat on the edge of a large fountain, he placed his hands behind him to lean back and he looked up at the star-filled night sky. But all of a sudden, Lucas heard soft rustling in the rose bushes a few feet ahead of him.

Lucas slowly crept toward the bushes but then out of nowhere, a dark shadow about his size jumped out of the bushes, knocking him onto his back with a yelp. When Lucas opened his eyes he found Nico on top of him once again "What are you doing here?!" Nico hissed, his wine-red eyes narrowed. Lucas instantly frowned and yelled "I could ask you the same thing! Aren't you supposed to be impris-" Nico covered Lucas' mouth before he could finish "Hush! Someone will hear you, idiot!" Nico whispered in an angry tone. Lucas paused struggling, realizing how soft and warm Nico's hand was on his lips...oh, but what was Lucas thinking? Ever since he found him...

Nico has made him feel something he never has before.
