XII - A New Chapter Open

Everyone was gathered back to the base, and there were lots of ambulances waiting for them. A lot of students were being treated, and they had just gotten the bullet out of Kiyotaka's stomach. It was a relief that it did not go too deep as it would be fatal if it did. Just when they thought he was the worst, a few respondents, together with a blonde student, was carrying an unconscious girl.

Kiyotaka saw it, and he almost broke his monotone face. The blonde was Koenji, and the girl being carried was none other than Suzune. The worst thing was that she was breathing slowly. So slow.

Medic: Prepare the oxygen tank!

Doctor: What happened!

Medic: We don't know yet, but it's for sure that she passed out due to a panic attack. She was probably in so much pressure!

He watched as the paramedics attached the oxygen tank to Suzune. They elavated the portable bed, and slowly but surely, Suzune's breathing got more stable.

Koenji saw that he was staring at her, and he came closer.

Koenji: Hoh! Have you finally realized something monster?

Kiyotaka: Realize what?

Koenji: Don't even try to hide it. I can see that you have feelings for her.

Kiyotaka: I don't.

Koenji: Well... if you won't admit it, Mr. Genius, then let me elaborate for you. First was when you were going to switch classes. If you hadn't cared for her at all, then you wouldn't have threatened Ryuen to not attack her and forced me to not give her a headache. Second was when she and I were dating. I knew for sure you sent that person to spy on us, and when you finally knew that it was just a bet, you let it go.

Well, he did do that. He did not know why, but it did not let him sleep, knowing that she and Koenji were dating out of nowhere. Still, that did not prove anything, well... in Kiyotaka's book, that is.

Koenji: Last but not least, that time when Ryuen was beaten up after the Hide and seek exam. It was you, wasn't it?

Kiyotaka: And why would I do that?

Koenji: Because he managed to create a wound on Suzune's thighs. You did not like it. After all, you threatened him not to attack her, did you not?

Kiyotaka: Didn't Ryuen get it from initiating a fight with Hosen?

Koenji: No.

Kiyotaka shrugged.

Kiyotaka: But that was what he said.

Koenji: He told me. He was the one who told me that you had beaten him up. Don't worry, tho, monster. No one will know. Specially not her. I'm not a snitch

Kiyotaka: Whatever suits you.

Koenji was about to leave when he stopped.

Koenji: Oh, and before I leave. You better work fast if you want her, monster. I heard from a bee that a 2nd year student has taken a liking her, and he's no ordinary student, I might say.

With that Koenji left, and just as he did, a sadistic smile played upon the Devil's lips.

"Now who is this 2nd year that has taken a liking to her."

2 days after their last exam. Suzune's class was inside their room. It was silent, and Suzune was stopping herself from not crying in front of her classmates.
