XX - Truth

Suzune woke up feeling light-headed. She held her head and adjusted her eyes to the light of the room. Suddenly, she stopped.

Suzune: Wait. What room...?

The memories last night came rushing to her head, and her brows furrowed. She remembered standing up to her father and running. So, why was she in a room?

She cleared her eyes to look at the room, and her eyes widened. This was not her condo. She scrambled to get out of the massive bed and tried to look at her surroundings once again. It was huge. Far too big to be her room or her whole condo. She went to the glass walls and pulled the curtains to the side.

She stopped. She was on a tall building. Maybe two-thirds of the Burj Khalifa. It was that tall. She sat on the plush couch near the window and held her head, trying to remember more of what happened last night. That's when she remembered that after she ran away from her father, she bumped into someone. And that someone happens to be Ayanokoji Kiyotaka.

She was still piecing two and two together when she heard a knock. She went and opened the door slightly, and a girl in a maid outfit greeted her.

Maid: Miss! You're awake! Please don't move much. Master had ordered me to keep you in bed and wait for the doctor to come.

Suzune: Master..? Who? Where am i?

Suzune let the maid enter, and she seated on the edge of the bed.

Maid: You don't know master? I thought you were his girlfriend.

Suzune: G-Girlfriend!? No! Who even is your master?

Maid: My master and the owner of this room are Sir. Ayanokoji Kiyotaka. He was the one who brought you here last night. He was looking really pissed, well... angry, actually. I've never seen that in the master's face because he usually has a blank one. So I thought that you were his girlfriend...

Suzune turned red.

Suzune: W- What! No! He- I- I just happened to bump into him last night, and that's it...

Maid: Really? What a shame...

Suzune: Huh...?

Maid: You don't really know anything about master?

Suzune: No... he became my classmate during ANHS, but that's it...

The maid stared at her, and Suzune could see the pity and shock in her face.

Suzune: Is there a problem...?

Maid: Nothing... It's just that. He might seem like a bad person, but he still has a nice side to him. So please, don't reject him...

Suzune: I don't understand... why are you telling this to me? Who is he really? What do you mean by a bad person? 

Maid: I can't tell you, miss. You'll need to figure it out yourself. One thing I can tell you, though. Master has not loved anyone yet. You are the first that he ever cared to even bring here. I think... master harbors feelings for you...

Their conversation was stopped when a knock on the door was heard once again. Suzune stood to open it, but the maid ushered her to sit and opened the door instead. A doctor entered and checked up on her.

Doctor: Your bruises will heal in a week or so. I'll tell Sir Ayanokoji of your status.

The doctor left, and Suzune's head was spinning. Not from the pain but from all this master and feelings thing. Why did he help her? Why was she here, in his place? And most of all, he had feelings? For her?
