"Who are you waiting for my dear niece"
Laenora said nothing knowing if she said something. She would lie or say something that would make her uncle mad. Especially when she was seeking out someone. Like he had with her elder sister.
She couldn't have her uncle seeing her with anyone let alone someone he hated."Well dear niece"
"I was looking for Rhaenyra" Laenora lied "I saw you go after her"
Daemon smirked as he took a step forward "She was congratulating me again"
"On a victory that is now my fathers"
"It would seem so"
Laenora looked at her uncle once more and decided it wasn't worth waiting for anyone. Not when her uncle looked like he wouldn't be leaving. So she turned away from him and made her way out the godswood.
She could never stand her uncle and she knew he couldn't stand her. He liked Rhaenyra better just like everybody else did.
Well, almost everyone.

"Laenora" Rhaenyra smiled softly as she caught up to her younger sister and linked her arms with her "I've been looking for you"
"I was in the godswood....with our uncle"
"Uncle says marriages are nothing but some political arrangement" Rhaenyra admits "Perhaps I should be looking for a political arrangement"
Laenora stops and within seconds so does Rhaenyra.
"Laenora what is it"
"Father has said we can choose who we wed"
"He has"
"And yet he wants us to both be wed off by years end" Laenora whispers "What of love"
The mention of love makes Rhaenyra frown. It was true, Rhaenyra would do anything to marry for love or atleast marry someone she knew well.
And she wouldn't watch her baby sister be wed to some old fat lord. Some lord who wants nothing but their blood for their future spawn.
"What of the knight"
"What of him, Nyra"
"Do you love him"
"I haven't seen him in moons"
"Is he here in king's landing"
"Perhaps"
"It is late I think I shall retire"
"Of course sister"
"Goodnight Nora"
"Goodnight Nyra"
************************************
Laenora made her way through the dimmed halls of the castle, Knowing it was best if she retired for the night. Just as her sister had done, well she hoped Rhaenyra had.
But whenever their uncle was here, He would get Rhaenyra in trouble one way or another. That was something Laenora didn't want to happen.
As the king was already mad with both his daughters.
Laenora finally reached the steps, all she had to do now was walk down them and return to her chambers. But she couldn't help but stop when she saw someone walk out the queens chambers.
Her eyes lit up when the person turned around and made their way over to her.
"Ser Gwayne" She whispered thanking the gods she had decided to retire at the same time he had decided to say his goodnight to Alicent.
Gwayne stopped a few feet away from her bowing his head "Princess"
"I was wait-"Gwayne cut her off knowing there were guards right outside his sisters chambers "Allow me to walk you to your chambers, to make sure you are safe"
She nodded slightly as he waited for her to walk down the stairs and when she did, he followed.
"Are you well?" He asked quietly as they made their way to her chambers.
"More than well" She replied as they reached her chambers, her guard not yet there.
"Where's your guards, princess"
"Perhaps changing around, Ser Gwayne" She stated "You could always wait with me"
"Is that a suggestion or demand"
"Let us play cards before I sleep"
He hesitates but follows her when she walks into her chambers.
Gwayne watches as Laenora finds some cards and then sits down at her table "Well Gwayne, sit"
"Your being quite demanding tonight"
She smiles as he sits across from her "I have missed kings landing and your company"
"As i've missed you Laenora"
"I didn't know you'd only be here a few days"
"My father wishes for me to return to old town"
"Must you, ive inly returned and I don't wish to see you leave"
"My sister has told me about your attempts at trying to claim one of those beasts"
"They aren't beasts" She snaps lightly "They are dragons and I am the only Targreyn without one"
"How many times have you tried and failed"
"Four"
"Seven hells" he mutters as he looks at her.
"I tried to claim a one of the dragons there in the dragonpit but three times and yeti failed" She admits "So i went hunting for a wild one"
"You could have been killed"
"That would've been better than being alive and dragonless"
Gwayne sighs "There are still dragons you could try claim"
"I thought you were against the idea"
"I've seen you sit in front of the fire hoping for that egg of yours to hatch"
"I think I shall give up for now, I'm home and that is all I care about"
Gwayne stands up "I should go before your guard shows up"
Laenora nods placing the unused cards down onto the table and standing up and before Gwyane can leave Laenora walks over to him and kisses his cheek "Goodnight, Gwayne"
He looks down at her once more and places a soft k onto her cheek. just as she had done to him "Goodnight, my princess"
Laenora watches him leave with a soft smile. Not realising that by the morrow her marrige to her uncle would be announced. In hope she stayed far from the knight and her uncle stayed far away from Rhaenyra.
An- What do we think about Gwayne and Laenora.....
