"What brings you to the vale?" Rhea muttered looking at the Targaryen prince "Have you come to beg me to accept the king's offer. Or have you at last come to consummate our marriage"

Daemon tilts his head not saying anything just yet. He only needed to know if she would actually accept his brother's offer and if she didn't. Well Daemon had other ways of getting rid of unwanted stuff.

Laenora may not be the heir to the iron throne. But she would be a better wife then his bronze bitch and he would have another way to annoy his brother.

"The Vale's sheep might be willing to do both, even if I'm not. Our sheep are prettier, after all." Rhea spoke up again "Or perhaps your brother has at last had his fill of your company. Cast you aside in favour of a little girl."

Daemon takes a step closer "He may have cast me aside for a girl, but he offers me much more than you ever will"

She scoffs "What will you do now, strike the eldest one down and wed the other. Or.."

************************************

Laenora had made her way into the dogwood not expecting to see anyone. As she had just watched her father and sister leave for driftmark.

She hadn't spoken to her father since he announced that she would wed Daemon, if Rhea Royce accepted whatever he offered her.

Nor had she spoken to Rhaenyra. She was mad with her sister, mad she had been caught with their uncle and mad that there was a chance she would have to spend the rest of her life with the men.

She sighed as her eyes went onto the two people stood in the godswood "Your grace, my lord"

Alicent looked over at the girl and smiled slightly. She didn't hate Laenora, not when she had spent the whole night in her chambers. Not knowing that Rhaenyra would do such a thing.

Alicents eyes return to Larys Strong as she watches him send a smile towards her stepdaughter.

"Princess" Larys replied as he bowed his head and slowly made his way out the godswood. Leaving his Queen and princess alone.

"He seems like a kind man" Laenora spoke up as she walked towards the tree "How many sons does our new lord hand have"

Alicent holds back a scoff as Laenora stops a few feet away from her "Two here in court, Ser Harwin"

"The lord commander"

Alicent nods "And Larys Strong"

"My father shall return tomorrow"

"What exactly do you want, Laenora"

"N-"

"Dont lie, I know you want something"

"Has there been any ravens from lady Rhea or even my uncle"

"Laenora"

"Alicent has there"

Alicent nods again "Lady Rhea passed away yesterday morning"

************************************

Rhaenyra walked into her sister's room, the princess had just returned to driftmark and had heard the news. She was jealous, but she wouldn't admit that.

She wanted to wed her uncle, not Laenor. She didn't want some political arrangement even if Laenor was not the worst man she had met.

"Laenora" Rhaenyra spoke she closed the doors and turned around, seeing her sister sat at the end of the bed "Sister"

Laenora looked up and frowned "Bisa iksis ilagon naejot ao" (This is down to you)

"Must you always speak in high valryain, when you are upset with me"

"Zȳha se mērī ñuhoso kostan jenigon ao" (Its the only way I can annoy you)

Rhaenyra joins her sister and sits at the end of the bed "Nyke kessa ȳdragon naejot īlva uncle, laenora nyke won't ivestragī zirȳla wed ao" (I shall speak to our uncle, Laenora I wont let him wed you"

Laenora looks at the ground knowing she was marrying someone who wanted Rhaenyra, once more "kepa ēza vestās lodaor" (Father has said otherwise)

"Laenora"

"Im not our fathers heir you are and not only must I wed our uncle, But I still remain dragonless" She muttered bitterly "At least if you ha let me claim a dragon on dr-"

"You would have died, Laenora"

"If I had a dragon father wouldn't think so little of me, our king wouldn't just wed me off to keep you away from our uncle"

"And yet he has"

"It's your fault Rhaenyra, you let our uncle take you to a brothel"

Rhaenyra scoffs as Laenora gets off the bed "What of you and your knight"

She turns around "Thats different"

"Then tell me his name"

"You wouldnt understand"

"Laenora, our uncle never touched me"

"Then why am i being forced to marry him"

"Daemon wasn't the one to touch me"

Laenora furrows her brows more confused than she is angry "Someone did?"

"Criston cole and then he offered to run away with me, to sell oranges"

"Ser cole......what do you mean sell oranges"

"It doesn't matter" Rhaenyra whispered as she joined her sisters side again "I shall sort this"

"You cannot"

"Then I shall make sure you have dragon"

"You cannot do that either"

"Then what can i do, I don't want you to be upset with me"

"Cover for me"
