Chapter 11: The More, The Merrier!

 I finished my 4th operation during a 24 hour shift in a hospital. We were tasked to help out in major operations, it was July 31, 2023. 18:35 in the evening.

I sat in the resting place with my bloody scrub suit. Then the head of the operations went out of the operating room,

"Ayo, Satoru. Good job earlier...You saved us back then." He said ,

"Yeah...it's nothing doc." I said to him, as I yawned.

"You should head home now, You've been into 4 surgeries...You're tired too. Thanks for today." He said to me,

"Yeah...sure thing thanks Doc Yamamoto." I said to him as he left the room.

So I took a bath then headed home. I was hungry but too exhausted to cook or do anything so I just called for delivery. While waiting for the delivery, I forgot that yesterday and today is the day that holoadvent would debut, I looked it up on youtube and it was finished already. As I opened my phone I received a lot of notifications from hololive members, I have a lot like 50+ messages ranging from English, Japanese, and Indonesian branch members. I'm too tired to reply to one of them and to even read them, so I decided to reply to them tomorrow. Shortly after my food arrived, I paid for it and even gave the delivery a tip. I ate dinner then laid on my bed then slowly fell asleep.

As I woke up on August 1, it was a Tuesday. Still exhausted and sleepy. I did my morning routine then headed to the office. As I fixed my table and things,

Bae entered the room.

"IDIOT! Why were you not responding to my messages!?" She asked me,

She looked agitated and somewhat pissed.

"Oh.. I'm sorry Bae. I was really tired yesterday.... You see I had a 24 hour shift in a hospital, I had to join 4 surgeries ... .So yeah.. Not just your messages to be honest, other's as well. Also I missed holoadvent's debut too. I'm sorry..." I said to her,

She sat down beside me.

"Then you could have told me....idiot. I was waiting for your reply, you know!" She said looking away, flustered.

"Oh yeah... All ID members are here later, so as the HoloAdvent for a party." She said,

"Are you going?" She asked me,

"I don't know..I'll probably just drop by and say hi. I have 2 major surgeries tomorrow, A craniotomy and a heart transplant surgery ... .so yeah, I need a lot of rest. Sorry Bae....you can tell the others too." I said to her,

She sulked,

"So yeah..if you don't have anything to say, you may leave in peace. I have to read some medical papers. Thanks for dropping by." I said to her, as I patted her head.

She looked disappointed and left.

As the time passed by, I was in a phone call with a Neurologist, apparently he was having trouble looking at the patient's mental disorder and where it was coming from.

He looked everywhere,

"So...not biologically or genetically...have you tried looking from a psychological perspective, Doc Takamura?" I said to him,

"Oh...I haven't looked at that! I overlooked that!, Thanks Satoru, you have my back again." He said before hanging up.

It was 16:45 in the afternoon so I prepared myself to leave the office, as I fixed my things I remember dropping by at the party.
