Kuroo furrows his brows, turning to a certain setter after staring at the ace for several minutes. "And L/n still hasn't shown up or contacted him?"

Akaashi shakes his head. "Nothing. It's like she disappeared off the face of the earth. Nothing we say gets through to Bokuto-san, so he's just stuck like this. If you have any ideas, please feel free to try anything. It's hard to work with him when he's being stubborn and, well... like this! He's not himself, but he won't listen to reason."

Kenma doesn't look up from the game he's playing. "Why not try to find her school and look for her? If you find out where she is or normally goes, you can probably find something out."

Akaashi lays his head on the table. "We don't even know the name of the school. Based on all the information we have, there's no trace of a school that she described. We even tried looking up their names, and it's almost like they don't exist. I can't find anything on them. This only makes me think they were lying the whole time. I can't trust her, and all this proves it. But, no matter the facts I present to him, Bokuto-san won't believe a word I say. He's determined to believe that L/n is out there, and that she'll come back to him. For all we know, she completely left Japan and changed all her information."

Kuroo sighs, propping up his arm and resting his head on his hand. "I don't think there's much we can do. How long has she been gone now?"

"Almost two months. She disappeared at the end of October, and it's nearing the end of December now. Yet Bokuto-san remains the same. He's never in a good mood, he's stopped smiling completely, and he refuses to talk with us unless we believe him about L/n."

Kenma hums, continuing to press buttons on his psp. "I think you could always try taking him to psychologist or something. A professional might be able to work everything out with him, then get him back to normal."

Kuroo closes his eyes. "Bokuto. Listen to me?"

Bokuto slowly looks at the taller boy. "Hm? What is it?"

"What was the very last thing you heard from L/n the night she disappeared?" Kuroo slowly opened his eyes, looking into his friend's golden gaze.

The ace blinked, pulling out his phone. "This is all she said before I stopped hearing from her." He shows the last messages you sent.

Kenma even takes the chance to look at the texts. "Not even saying what went on. This is kinda suspicious. Maybe she was cheating or something. I think you should cut your losses and move on, Bokuto. Getting hung up on this isn't gonna do you any good."

Bokuto glared, gripping his phone tighter as he turns it off. "Y/n wouldn't do anything like that. She's a good person, and truly cares about me. She told me everything. I have no reason to believe she's a bad person or would purposely do something to hurt me. Something happened to her, and it's keeping her from me. I know that's the case! Y/n will come back! She just needs time! I'll wait for her, as long as it takes. I know she wouldn't leave me. She said she loves me, she told me everything about her life. She kept no secrets from me. So - so..." He trails off, breaking off into sobs and starting to cry uncontrollably.

Akaashi lets out a breath, patting his ace's back. "You have to admit, there's something weird about how she suddenly vanished without a trace. And she should've contacted you by now. Don't you have any doubts, Boktuo-san?"

The silver haired boy freezes, muscles tensing up. Somewhere, deep within his mind, there were doubts. He refused to believe them all this time, but it felt like reality was hitting harder in this moment. "It doesn't matter if I do or not. I know she's just going through a hard time right now. She'll message me soon. I just need to wait."

Kuroo lowered his voice, softening his tone. "What are your doubts, bro?"

The ace takes a deep breath, slowly exhaling. "Maybe she's not coming back. Whether something serious happened to her, or she just suddenly found someone better suited for her but she didn't want to hurt me after everything we've been through. I mean, she lives in a different world from me, so it could be possible. But... I just don't want to believe it."

Kenma turned his psp off, putting it down to stare at the older boy. "Something about her was off for some of us the whole time. Maybe this is a wake up call for you. She's not the one for you, she never was and never will be. At least try to consider all the possibilities. Maybe she doesn't love you anymore and is cutting you completely out of her life. She probably lied to you this whole time. Forget about her, and focus on living your life."

Kuroo nodded in agreement with his setter. "Think about it bro, she never really made the time for you. You deserve someone that'll give you everything. L/n probably never really loved you. Find someone that loves you and will always have you as their number one."

Akaashi took his hand off his ace. "It's time for you to get over her. L/n wasn't someone you could trust. Get rid of her in your life. Move on, and go back to being the ace we all know and love."

Bokuto looks down, biting his bottom lip. "I'll give Y/n more time. Just a little. If she doesn't show up during the spring nationals, I'll move on."
