Slap

"How dare you." Jaddu said as held his stinging cheek
"Who do you think you people are?" Kuldeep shot back
"Me?" Jaddu roared "You are the one who slapped me for absolutely no reason."
"I had a reason." Kul shouted
"What?" Jaddu enquired
"Your friend Rohit locked Virat in the bathroom stall." Kul justified

"That is not true." Jaddu said
"It is." Kul said his face inching closer to Jaddu without realisation
"Rohit would never do something like that." Jaddu confidently told
"He did. Virat saw him." Kul said
"From inside the stall?" Jaddu questioned as he raised his eyebrows

"They were the only two people there." Kul frowned
"Well if Rohit did so, I support him. He did the right thing." Jaddu said crossing his arms
"Locking someone is a right thing to do?" Kul said in disbelief
"Virat had to be punished for lying about the chits." Jaddu said as his anger flared up
"I thought Rohit didn't do that. But seeing the influence your company has on him, he might have made the chits too." Kul fired back

"My company?" Jaddu was in shock
"Yes. You are a bad influence." Kul clarified
"I was not involved in either of the things and still you are complaining about me. Or is this because you just needed a reason to be near me." Jaddu shook his head
"I-" Kul stepped back finally realising the proximity between him and Jaddu. Only to pulled back again with an arm around his waist. He landed directly on the others chest as he stared at him in shock.

"You are doing this because you still have a crush on me." Jaddu stated
"No." Kul responded trying to wiggle his way out of the tight grip
"You still love me. Desire me. You just need a reason to be near me." Jaddu continued as the tension grew
"No. None of that is true." Kul screamed
"This has been going on since the first year, Kul. Just admit it." Jaddu teased

Kuldeep finally freed himself from Jaddu's grip, before facing him once again.
"Yes. I did have a crush on you." Kul said as mustered all his courage
"See." Jaddu pointed out the obvious
"But not anymore. I will date anybody but you. I will rather die single than dating you. You don't deserve someone like me." Kul said as teared found their way into his eyes
Jaddu was speechless for a moment. Kul same near him and kept his index finger on Jaddu's chest.
"Tell you friend to stay the hell away from my friend." He said as he poked his finger on his chest before finally turning and walking away.

Jaddu found himself being pulled back by memories of their freshman year. Kul had been a silent type and would not speak much. Jaddu remembered him sitting alone on the lunch table and even in class. He had befriended him out of pity. Kul followed him around like a lost puppy. He tried his best to make Kul fit in but maybe he misunderstood his signals. He had befriended Rohit and Shreyas by then and suddenly Kul felt like a burden. He started ignoring him until one day Kul proposed to him. That day ended with heartbreak and a lot of tears for Kul. They went their separate ways from then on but Jaddu still secretly kept a check on Kul. He didn't want to admit it but he didn't like the way Kul would laugh his heart out with Rishabh or became a totally different person with him.

"I don't deserve him?" Jaddu said out loud as the memories flooded back in. All the pent up anger he had seeing Kul with Rishabh came out. The insults of his best friend and the accusation was too much. He couldn't believe that the silent kid would become a lion that too infront of him. He had dared him to do this. Kuldeep Yadav had dared Ravindra Jadeja that he wouldn't be able to get him.
"I will make you beg for my love and attention, darling." Jaddu said looking at the tiny figure of Kul walking away towards the college.

Rishabh dropped Virat to the nurse's office for a check up. He was very worried for his sick friend and also the other one who had stormed off in anger. The nurse examined Virat's condition and gave him a mug of Glucon D and asked him to have some food. Rishabh hurried towards the canteen to get some food for his friend.
"Why are you panting like that?" A voice asked him from behind. Rishabh recognised the voice but decided to ignore it and focus on his goal first.
"I asked you something Rishabh. Why are you sweating so much? What's the hurry?" Shreyas said as he placed himself in front of Rishabh.

Rishabh looked at his neighbour in annoyance. Yes, it was true that they were neighbours. Rishabh and Shreyas were merely acquaintances despite living next to each other for years. They would sometimes greet each other in the hallways but that was it. To be truthful, they were polar opposites of each other. If Rishabh was west then Shreyas had to be East. Shreyas was a flirt. He had good looks and would often used them to get his way. Rishabh despised that habit of his. Rishabh was childish on the other hand. He loved pranking innocent people, most of his pranks were harmless but he also used them as a way of punishment. Shreyas couldn't understand the nature of this man-child.

"You should know the reason. Your boss did this." Rishabh blurted in annoyance
"Boss? What are you talking about?" Shrey titled his head in confusion
"Rohit. He locked Virat in the washroom and he fainted." Rishabh said collecting the food from the canteen.
"Rohit would never drop so low." Shrey was sure
"Yeah, sure." Rishabh said sarcastically
"I can clear your misunderstanding. Let's just talk it out." Shrey rationally advised
"I don't have the time to talk. I need to give my friend some food. Will you excuse me please?" Rishabh said as walked with the food to the nurse's office leaving a confused Shrey behind.
