Mahi stood at the entrance of his luxurious penthouse, gazing at the magnificent view of the city below. The soft hum of excitement stirred within him. Tonight was the night. It was going to be special for him and for Dinesh.
It wasn't just business for Mahi anymore; it was love.
But this love was complicated.
Mahi had spent years building walls around his heart, trusting no one in the cutthroat world of business. Dinesh, with his warmth, his calm intelligence, and his unwavering support, had cracked through those walls in ways Mahi couldn't have anticipated.
He knew it was time to do something bold.
"Virat," Mahi said into his phone, his voice firm but full of excitement, "I need your help. I'm planning something special for Dinesh. I want you and Rohit to decorate the house. It has to be perfect—pink roses everywhere."
Virat responded almost immediately. "Pink roses, huh? I see where this is going. Leave it to us, bhai. You focus on what you need to say, we'll handle the details."
The day arrived, and Mahi was more nervous than he'd ever been before. He dressed carefully, his heart pounding in his chest.
He had always been a man of action, never one for grand gestures, but this... this was different. It wasn't a business deal. This was the most important decision of his life.
As he drove to the house, he couldn't help but smile, imagining Dinesh's reaction.
Dinesh, who had always been the kind of man to put others before himself, would never expect anything like this. He had no idea that Mahi was about to change everything.
When Mahi arrived, he was greeted by the sight of the house, bathed in soft light and surrounded by the soft, sweet scent of pink roses.
Virat and Rohit had truly outdone themselves.
The front yard was lined with white lanterns, their warm glow casting a romantic hue over the garden. A pathway was lined with thousands of pink rose petals which was leading up to the front door.
Inside, the house was a dream.
The walls were lined with delicate white fairy lights, casting a soft, romantic glow across the room.
The living room was transformed into a garden of pink, with clusters of roses placed on every surface.
The dining table was draped in a soft cloth, with crystal vases holding elegant bouquets of pink roses in varying shades.
The soft scent of the flowers filled the air, creating an atmosphere that was both intimate and magical. It was the kind of decor that Dinesh would have never expected, and yet it felt like it was meant for him.
Meanwhile, Dinesh had no idea.
He had received a call from Mahi earlier in the evening, asking him to meet him at the penthouse for a "work-related discussion." Dinesh, always professional, had agreed without hesitation.
He was curious as Mahi's tone had been different but he didn't suspect anything out of the ordinary.
As Dinesh pulled up in his car, Mahi watched him from a distance.
His eyes softened with affection, and he stepped out, walking toward Dinesh with a small grin playing on his lips.
"Come with me," Mahi said softly, taking Dinesh's hand and guiding him inside.
As soon as Dinesh stepped over the threshold, he froze, his eyes widening in disbelief.
The room before him was unrecognizable. Pink roses were everywhere—on the floor, in vases, hanging from the ceiling in delicate garlands.
The light flickered softly, illuminating the beautiful flowers and giving the room an almost magical feel. Dinesh looked around, his breath catching in his throat.
"W—What is this?" Dinesh stammered, overwhelmed by the beauty of it all.
"Do you like it?" Mahi asked, a gentle smile on his lips as he stepped closer, his gaze never leaving Dinesh's face.
Dinesh nodded, too stunned to speak. He had never seen anything like this before. He had never see anything in his life had ever felt so personal, so heartfelt.
"This is for you," Mahi said, taking a deep breath, his voice a little shaky.
"Why?" Dinesh whispered, still processing the scene before him.
"Because you deserve it, Mahi smiled softly, his eyes searching Dinesh's.
"You have changed me. You've made me believe in love again when I thought it was impossible. When I thought I couldn't trust anyone in this world, you came in and turned everything upside down. You taught me what it means to open my heart again."he said, his voice thick with emotion.
He dropped to one knee, pulling out a small velvet box. The ring inside was simple but elegant—a solitaire diamond, with a subtle pink hue that matched the roses.
He took Dinesh's hand, his fingers trembling slightly.
"Dinesh, you are the one I want to spend my life with. You've made me realize that I've been too afraid, too closed off for too long. But now, with you, I feel like I can be myself. I want to be with you, every single day, for the rest of my life."
Dinesh's eyes filled with tears, his breath catching in his throat. Mahi's words hit him deep, resonating in a place he hadn't realized had been waiting for this moment.
"Will you marry me?" Mahi asked softly.
Dinesh nodded, his voice barely a whisper, "Yes. Yes, Mahi. I'll marry you."
The room erupted into applause as Virat, Rohit, and the rest of the guests celebrated. But for Mahi and Dinesh, nothing else mattered. They were in their own world.
Later that evening, after the celebration had quieted down and the guests had left, Dinesh and Mahi were alone in the house, surrounded by roses and the lingering scent of love. Dinesh smiled softly as he looked at the flowers, his fingers tracing the delicate petals.
"You know," Dinesh said, his voice gentle, " I have been wondering."
"What?" Mahi asked his eyes shining with curiosity
"You have always gifted me pink roses. Why have you never gotten me your favourite flowers?" Dinesh innocently questioned
Mahi chuckled, his eyes meeting Dinesh's. "That's because the moment you told me pink roses were your favorite, they became my favorite too."
"And I wanted to give you a gift that was just for you, something that showed I was listening, that I cared."
Dinesh's heart swelled with affection. "Mahi, you've already given me everything I ever wanted. You."
Mahi leaned in, brushing his lips against Dinesh's, soft and slow. The kiss deepened, a silent promise between them. The promise of love, trust, and a future together.
As their lips met once more, the scene blurred, they were standing at the altar.
Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Dinesh in a simple but elegant suit, Mahi in a sharp tuxedo, both of them smiling with eyes full of love while they exchanged vows.
Standing next to them were there groomsmen who looked at their partners. A silent vow exchanged between them too.
Rohit and Virat, Kuldeep and Jaddu, Shreyas and Rishabh they all knew that one day it would be there chance to stand at the altar and they couldn't wait for it.
And when the ceremony was over Mahi and Dino were finally husband and husband, they kissed once again, sealing their love not just in words, but in everything they had shared from the past, the present, and the future.
The pink roses were once a symbol of a simple, heartfelt proposal but were now a testament to a love that had bloomed beautifully between all the couples, like the flowers that had surrounded them.
