Sandwich

"See. You also think that I didn't need that chits." Rohit said making his point
"So because I blamed you by mistake, you locked me in the bathroom out of spite?" Virat questioned his hand finally making way to open the lunchbox
"No. I didn't lock you in." Rohit said
"Rohit we are being truthful right now. Just admit it." Virat treaded though his heart was somehow denying the fact.

The delicious aroma of sandwiches wafted in the air as Rohit paused. His mind was in a haze because he didn't know how to make Virat see the truth. He had left the washroom that day and had not returned to it anytime later. He tried to figure out some way to prove himself innocent. While Virat sitting in front of him munched down the sandwich. The sandwich was very delicious according to Virat. He saw Rohit in a deep train of thoughts and brought him back to reality by snapping his fingers.

"Who made this sandwich?" Virat asked
"My brother." Ro replied
"It's very delicious. Please convey that to him." Virat said
"Of course." Rohit beamed at the praise of his brother

"So you remember anything about the person who locked you in?" Rohit treaded
"Yeah. I saw black shoes like the ones you are wearing right now." Virat answered "Rohit, it's fine. Sometimes we do things in anger. I was wrong accusing you. You were angry and I understand that."
Rohit was not listening to any of this. The black shoes he was wearing right now were his brothers shoes that he sometimes borrowed on the days his brother didn't have work. But that day he was wearing his own white converse shoes. He quickly took out his phone and searched for any pic that could be used as a proof.

"Virat, see this is a pic that Jaddu took of me that day. I am wearing white shoes." Rohit said handing Virat the piece of evidence
"Yes." Virat breathed
"So you didn't lock me in." Virat said his eyes guilty of accusing Rohit
"I swear I wouldn't do anything like that." Rohit said
"I am sorry, Rohit. I really am. It's just that I got caught up in these dynamics without even knowing anybody." Virat confessed
"I am glad everything is clear right now." Rohit said

"My brothers advice worked." Rohit continued
"What advice?" Virat questioned
"Of talking it out. He said it sorts the tightest of knots." Rohit smiled
"He seems like a knowledgeable man." Virat said
"He is." Rohit chuckled

As they sat in silence, Virat's claustrophobia started to get to him. He started sweating and felt nauseous. He grabbed Rohit's hand for strength who was very worried looking at him. The first touch sent a bolt of electricity through both the men. It was a different feeling, something they hadn't ever felt. Dismissing the thoughts, Rohit thought of looking after Virat.
"What happened Virat?" Rohit asked
"I am very claustrophobic. I cannot breathe right now." Virat gasped
"How can I help?" Rohit panicked and started rubbing Virat's back
"Just keep talking. It distracts me from thinking about the space we are in." Virat said
And so the conversation flowed between the two and they realised they are not as different as they thought they were.

"Do you want to be friends?" Virat asked the important question which was hanging in the air.
Pause.
"If you don't wanna be friends then it's fine. I am not pressuring you in any way. I made a lot of mistakes and I-" Virat rambled as Rohit looked at him.
"Friends." Rohit said forwarding his hand
"Friends." Virat shook it.

"Now let's get out here." Rohit said as he led Virat to the back door.  They both used their strength to open it together and were successful. Both the enemies now turned into friends returned home with a weight lifted off their shoulders. They smiled thinking about the next day as they would break the news to their friends.

"Friends!?! No. Never." Kul screamed which was very unlikely of him.
"Kul, Rohit is a good person." A shaken up Virat said
"I accept that. Rohit is a good person. You both can be very good friends now that you don't misunderstand each other. But you don't know about other people, Virat." Kul said
"His friends are good people too." Virat continued
"Oh no no. That sidekick of his is a pain in the butt." Kul said steam still coming out of his ears at the mention of Jaddu.
"Really?" A gruff voice asked from behind
Kul gulped.

"And here I came to forward a hand of friendship to you." Jaddu lied knowing very well that was not the reason he was eavesdropping on their conversation
"Hi Jadeja." Virat smiled ignoring the fire balls Kul was shooting at him with his eyes.
"Hi Virat. You can call me Jaddu. Can I please talk to your friend in private and solve our misunderstandings." Jaddu pleaded
"Of course you can Jaddu. Kul would love that." Virat walked away while Kul pleaded him to stay with his eyes.
Kul knew that every sentence that Jaddu said was dipped in sarcasm.

"So you think I am a pain in the butt?" Jaddu said as he walked towards Kul with light steps
"Yes, you are a big-" Kul gasped mid sentence as Jaddu touched Kul's back with his chest.
"Well I will tell you something. A pain in the ass is a feeling you will have after you climb out of MY bed in the morning after a rough night." Jaddu whispered in Kul's ear
Kul shivered at the intensity of the action.

"Want to experience that night?" Jaddu said his fingertip tracing Kul's neck from the side.
Kul had absolutely frozen at this moment. Sweat droplets formed on his forehead as he composed himself. He pushed Jaddu away with all his strength. Jaddu stumbled to regain his composure.
"You and me? Never." Kul said before turning away and walking as fast as he could
"We will see about that butterfly." Jaddu shouted to which Kul scoffed.

At Rohit's home, Dinesh waited for his brother while cooking a delicious lunch. A message pinged on his phone. He opened it to find that it was from an unknown number. He saved the number and replied with a thumbs up. The message read

Angry CEO
Dinner tomorrow at 6pm. Dress accordingly.
