Message

The whole class started chattering in excitement after reading the message.

The message-
Dear students,
This is to inform all the student of JY Patil college that a masquerade party is being organised in the school. The party will be held in the auditorium at 7pm tomorrow. Students are not allowed to bring dates. Seniors and pass outs of the college are also invited to the party. The dress code is formals and a mask to go with it. We request you to register your parents or guardians as chaperones for the night. Don't be late. Looking forward to have a fun time with all of you.

Oh. My. God. The invite to the biggest party of the year was finally out. Students couldn't contain their excitement. The masquerade party was the 'it' party. Students had to find their own dates out of their classmates by matching masks. The masks were handed out randomly in the beginning of the party at the entrance.

Rohit and Virat looked at each other.
"This is the biggest event we have." Rohit explained to Virat
"Wow." Virat was excited too

"I can't wait to dance all night and the best part is Surya will also be there." Rohit blabbered as he was very excited to see his senior again.
"Oh." Virat's smile faltered at the mention of Rohit's boyfriend

On the other desk, Kul sat alone as Rishabh went to talk with Virat. Jaddu saw this as a perfect chance to approach him.
"Hi." Jaddu greeted with his warmest smile
"Hi Jaddu." Kul replied mirroring the smile

"Kul," Jaddu continued before pausing. He wanted to make sure Kuldeep was okay with him using the nickname.
"Yes?" Kul asked
Jaddu let out the breath he was holding in.

"Kul, should we go to the dance together?" Jaddu gathered all his courage
"We are not allowed to bring dates." Kul replied shyly

"I can drive you to the dance." Jaddu said
"Only if you want." He added

Before Kul could answer an annoying voice (according to Jaddu) answered
"Yeah, that would be good." Rishabh squeaked
Jaddu scowled at the interference.

"Kul and I will get ready together as always. Pick us up from my house." Rishabh continued
Jaddu looked at him with a 'are you being serious right now' expression.
He looked at Kul with pleading eyes to say something to his friend in his honey like voice. Kul diverted his eyes immediately.

'Why did this friend of his have to interrupt us, god !?! I planned such a romantic drive' Jaddu wondered as he cursed his luck
Kul looked at him and chuckled at his condition.

As if to make things worse, Shreyas decided to join the group discussion. When he heard about their plans, his brain spun an idea of his own.
"I will join you too. I live right next door." He announced
This was a perfect plan of being near Rishabh the whole night Shrey thought.

Jaddu wanted to kill himself, or with better luck both Shreyas and Rishabh . They had destroyed every dream of his to spend some private quality time with Kul. It was something he was yearning for desperately. With a final look at Kul, he returned to his seat dragging Shrey with him.

Rohit was very eager to share the news with his brother. He rushed home, flung his arms open, took a long jump and landed directly in Dinesh's arm as usual.
"Bhai, bhai, bhai the invitation came." Ro screamed
"Rohit, take a deep breath. What invitation?" Dinesh calmed him down.

"The masquerade ball party, bhai." Ro stated
The one you have wanted to attend ever since you were a freshman?" Dinesh asked
"Yes. yes .yes." Ro jumped up and down

"Will you come as a chaperone?" Ro asked
"Of course, I will." Dinesh smiled
"Thank you bhai. You are the bestest bhai in the whole universe." Ro beamed as he hugged his elder brother tightly.
