Just going to say this now this story is going to be told from different points of view but it will mostly be tanjirou
(By the way the characters are 15 to 16 and if you paid attention tsuki and Luna live with Giyuu but Giyuu let them choose if they wanted to take the same last name as him because they're kind of like a sibling relationship type thing Luna took his last name tsuki did not just so this makes sense) also you might be wondering why I'm posting this in the middle of school day that's because I'm sick---
Tsukis pov
"Tsu, have you seen the nail gun?" my older sister Luna called from her bedroom closet. Her voice echoed down the hallway, muffled slightly by the walls.
"What for?" I called back, narrowing my eyes with suspicion. Luna had a history of self-harm and suicidal attempts, so I was always careful when handing over potentially dangerous objects. Even now, years later, the mere thought made my stomach clench.
"I've got a project. It's for school!" she shouted back. Luna was in her last year of high school and had taken up woodworking, so it wasn't an unusual request. Still, the idea of her holding something so lethal made me uneasy.
"Giyuu had it last, probably in his room!" I yelled, hoping to end the conversation before my imagination ran away with me.
"Thanks, Tsu!" she called back, her voice a mix of relief and excitement. I heard her footsteps shuffle down the hallway towards Giyuu's room. For a moment, everything was quiet again. The only sound was the rain, tapping insistently against the windows like skeletal fingers.
My phone buzzed loudly, shattering the calm. I glanced at the screen: "Star Head," the nickname I had given Tanjirou. I rolled my eyes but couldn't help smiling. Talking to him would be a good distraction. I picked up the phone and answered with my usual joke, "Tsukuyomi Tsuki speaking!"
There was no reply, just the faint sound of crying in the background. The hair on the back of my neck stood up. Something wasn't right. "Hello? Tanjirou?" I asked, a creeping sense of dread settling over me.
"Tsuki..." he finally answered, his voice shaking, heavy with fear. I could hear the tremors in his breathing. It was the kind of voice that sent chills down my spine. Tanjirou never cried. I'd known him for years, and he was the most level-headed person I'd ever met. To hear him like this was like listening to a clock tick backward-it was unnatural.
"Tanjirou, what's going on? Are you okay?" I asked, trying to keep my voice calm.
"It's the...the bullies," he stammered, barely able to get the words out. The sound of his choked sobs made my heart race.
"Calm down, Tanjirou. Tell me what's going on when I get there. I'm coming over right now." I hung up before he could protest and grabbed my jacket, yanking on my boots.
"I'm going to Tanjirou's! It's an emergency!" I shouted down the hallway. I didn't wait for a reply before bolting out the door. The rain was coming down hard, drenching me within seconds. The coldness of it seeped through my clothes, chilling me to the bone. My motorcycle stood waiting in the driveway, droplets of water clinging to the seat. I shivered as I climbed on, the cold, wet leather biting into my skin.
I fired up the engine and sped off, the tires skidding slightly on the wet pavement. The streets were empty, the streetlights casting eerie shadows on the road. I pushed the bike harder, the wind whipping against my face, stinging like needles. My thoughts were a blur, but one thing was clear:something terrible had happened, and I needed to get there fast.
Tanjirou's POV
The phone clicked as Tsuki hung up, leaving me with the haunting wail of the sirens. I wiped my face with the back of my hand, my tears mixing with the rainwater that had soaked my skin. My hands were still trembling, and I could barely hold the phone. The officers were questioning Nezuko now, their voices low and serious. They had questioned me earlier, but I had no answers. None that made sense, anyway.
I slumped onto the couch, my heart heavy with dread. I had called everyone-our friends, the ones we always hung out with-but no one could come except for Tsuki. Some were too far away, others couldn't leave their houses. I hadn't bothered calling Muichiro; he wasn't really part of our group, and I didn't have his number anyway.
A knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. It was barely audible over the wail of the sirens, but I heard it. I stumbled to my feet, my legs weak beneath me. I opened the door to find Tsuki standing there, drenched, her hair plastered to her face.
"What happened here?" she asked, her voice sharp with concern. Her eyes scanned the room, taking in the chaos-the police officers, the flashing lights, and finally, the two severed heads resting in a clear evidence bag on the floor. The heads of the bullies from school, their faces twisted in distorted expressions. skin peeled back. eyes bulging. jaws shattered.
Blood stained the bag, a dark, sticky red.
Tsuki's face went pale, her eyes widening with shock. I had never seen her look so scared. It was as if all the color had drained from her face. She looked like a ghost, standing there in the doorway, her lips parted in silent horror.
"What...what happened?" she whispered, her voice barely audible. She took a hesitant step closer, her eyes never leaving the heads.
"They...they were in a box," I mumbled, my voice hollow. "At my front door. I...I didn't know what it was. I thought it was a prank or something..."
Tsuki turned to look at me, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and anger. "Who the hell would do something like this?" she demanded, her voice trembling. "Who would leave something like that at your door?"
"I don't know," I said, my voice breaking. "I don't know who would do this."
Tsuki clenched her fists, her knuckles turning white. "This isn't just a prank, Tanjirou. This is...this is something else. This is...sick." She turned away, pacing back and forth, her mind racing. "Whoever did this...they're not just trying to scare you. They're sending a message."
A sudden thought hit me like a punch to the gut. "Do you think...do you think it's someone from school?" I asked, my voice barely more than a whisper.
Tsuki stopped, turning to face me. Her eyes were dark, filled with a mixture of anger and fear. "I don't know," she said slowly. "But whoever it is...they're dangerous. And we need to find out who they are before they do something worse."
