Chapter 1

Brooklyn

New School

I stepped out of my car. I couldn't believe it I was finally starting over. I looked up at the beautiful stone building and smiled. I can not believe that me and my brother were going to the best dance school ever. I heard my brother come up by me and I turned to look at him.

"Can't believe it can you," he asked me. I smiled and grabbed his hand, pulling him towards the main entrance. "WOW!!" I looked around at that amazing school. People were everywhere. I'm hoping that no one recongizes me. I let out a sigh.

'It sucks doesn't it. I hate the first day of school. Hi my name is Alexis Parks."

"Hey my name is Brooklyn Lane and I think we are roommates." She started laughing and I joined in. I looked around and found my brother talking to someone. I noticed who it is. No this can't be good. "Hey do you want to go check out our room?" She nodded her head and I lead the way. We started walking and finally made it to our room. I opened the door and stood there taking in our room.

It had a huge window that gave you an amazing view of the city. It had two beds and two desks. It also had a walk-in-closet and much more. We walked in and chose our sides of the room. Her on the right, and me on the left.

An hour later, we were at Studio B and listening to the head director. "Now I don't care who you are. I only care about how you dance. Now I am going to split you up into different class. Jake Hooylen........" I spaced out until I heard my name get called. "Cole Hale, Alexis Parks, Joe Lane, and Brooklyn Lane you are in my class. Now get ready and we will start class."

"My feet are killing me!!!," Alexis exclaimed. I laughed at her and sat down on my bed. We have just gotten back from class and Domenic had us doing dances and warm-ups for the past six hours. I know right horrible. I took off my shoes and grabbed my drink. "How are your feet not hurting you? You are just sitting there like the past six hours didn't happen. You aren't even sweating." I shrugged my shoulders. There is a reason, but I don't even feel like telling that story right know.

"Hey you want to get something to eat? I am starving." She nodded her head and got up. We started walking down the hall when I ran into Domenic. "Hello ladies I was just coming to see you girls."

"Oh, why did you want to see us?"

"Well I was going to tell you your parts in the opening year dance. So Alexis you have a duet with Brooklyn's brother, Joe and you are in the group dance. Brooklyn you have a duet with Cole, the group dance, and I want you to do a solo." I was shocked I did not see that coming. Alexis squeaked and jumped up and down.

"Thank you Domentic," Alexis and I said in unisen. He nodded his head and walked away. We started heading down the hall again and went to the cafeatria. I saw my brother run up to me. "I heard you go a solo!!! Congates sis." He pulled me into a bear hug. I patted his back and tried to pull away. He let go of me and I gave him a smile. I looked past him and saw that Cole was coming up behind my brother. "Shit." Joe looked behind him and smiled. Before we came here, I always hated Cole Hale, and trust me I still do. He always thinks he is the hotshot and it annoys me to no end.

"So Brooklyn I hear you got a solo AND we are doing a duet together. This is going to fun."

"You may think it will be fun I rather rot in hell."

"Oh, now I know this is going to be fun. Bye cupcake." With that the jerk has left the building I thought to myself. I went to the lunch line and picked up some food. I found a sit by my brother and sat down. The table was split into to converstations, which I was fine with. The guys were talking about sports and the girls were talking about class. "Hey dude,'' said a very familiar voice. I went down farther in my seat. Maybe he won't see me. "Brooklyn?" I looked up and gave him a weak smile.

"I haven't seen you in a......um..while."

"Yeah I have been super busy well I have to go and see Domenitc he wants to work on my solo. Bye Lexi and Joe see you tonight." They nodded and I took my leave. "Joe why didn't you tell me Brooklyn is here?" He didn't answer and I quickly ran to my room. Getting ready I quickly put on all my dance stuff and went to Room 783. I opened the door and saw Cole and Domenic. Cole was working on a dance.

"AH Brooklyn thank you for coming. Now you know the dance I had you work on today in class, that is the dance you will be doing for your solo. I will work on the duet later."

"Ok do you want me to watch or do the dance now?"

"Do it now Cole needs a break." I nod my head and get into first postiton. I wait for the music to start play. The song is I Just Can't Stop Loving You. I love the part when the chorus goes at full blast and I get to do an amazing move.

I stop in my final pose and wait for the last of the notes to play. I seeing that Cole and Domentic are standing and clapping. "Wow Brooklyn that was amazing,'' said Cole. i said thank you and turned to Domentic.

"That was so amazing that I don't even know how to describe it. That was just...wow! Great job."

"Thank you Domentic it means a lot."

"Now lets start on that duet shall we."
