Dance Your Socks Off
Flashback
One Month Ago
"Brooklyn,"
"Yes Dom," I asked.
"I want to change your solo.''
"Why?"
"You remember the dance you did at that competition?"
"Yea what about it?"
"I want you to do that dance."
"Dom this is so last minute."
"Yes, I know, but there is this big talent scout coming and that dance will get you so far in this world."
"I have to practice that flip and you need to order the outfit."
''Done, now show me that dance."

>>>>>Play Song>>>>>
I was sitting in the middle of the stage with my head down. The music has started and when the first hit of the drum comes, my head snaps up. I see Cole, my brother, and my friends staring at me with wide eyes. I start doing my dance. I do a double spin and get ready for my flip.
Which is impossible to do in point shoes. Unless you been taking dance your whole life like I have. I finished my spin and do the flip. I land it perfectly and the audience goes crazy. I do the tribal move and fall into a slipt. I hear some wolf whistles and know it is Cole and the boys. I smile and contiune. I get up by doing another flip. Again landed perfectly.
I put my hands together and move my head side to side. The song starts to slow down and I slow down the routine. I do a slow spin and go into a figure skater spin. The audience claps and I slow down again. The song starts to end and I start to finish my routine.
The song ends and I am back into my starting postiton. Eveyrone is clapping and out of their seats. The curtain closes and I stand up. The curtain opens again and I bow. Everyone is still clapping. I see that the my brother and everyone else is gone. I feel a presence by me and see that my friends and everone is next to me. We grab each others hands and bow.
Cole leans into me and brings his mouth to my ear.
"You look hot in that outfit," he whispers.
I feel a blush creep up on my face and look down. I feel him chuckle and elbow his side. He makes an oof and stops laughing. The curtain closes again and my friends turn towards me.
"So when did your solo change?"
"Umm...about...a month ago."
"Why didn't you tell us and why did you practice your old one yesterday at dress rehearsal?"
"Because Dom wanted to keep it a secret so he can surpirse everyone."
"Well that mkes this so better." I let out a sigh. I see Dom out of the corner of my eye and he is making his way towards us.
"Brooklyn, can I speak to you for a moment," he says to me when he walks up.
"Sure."
I start to walk with him towards a man that is standing at the edge of the stage. He is smiling and when he sees me his smile gets bigger.
"Brooklyn, I would like you to meet Ed Prickens."
"Hello."
"Hello Sir."
"Please call me Ed," he said.
"OK, Ed."
"I will get straight to the point. I want to offer you a full scholarship for The School Of Performing Arts in London."
"Wow, thank you so much, but can I have time to think about it."
"Sure here is my card. You can come see the school if you like too."
"Thank you so much Ed. I will take it into thought."
"No problem and great job tonight too."
"Thank you."
He nodded his head and walked away. I turned to Dom with a shock expression on my face.
"You should take it Brooklyn."
''I know, but I have to think about."
He nodded his head and smiled when he saw someone waving at him. He gave me another smile then a pat on the shoulder before walking away. I let out a sigh. Some people from the school came to tell me I did a good job. I said thanks and went to the dressing rooms.
All my friends were there and I smiled. Alexis walked up to me and hugged me. "Girl you have to show me how to do a flip in point shoes."
"That is a secret on how I do that."
"But you did it so perfectly,'' she whined. I laughed at her and went to go take off my outfit. Someone grabbed my wrist and I turned to see who it was. Cole. He smiled and I smirked.
"How did you keep that head thing in your hair?" Everyone mumbled 'yeah how'. I laughed at them and smiled.
"That is a secret too,'' I whispered in his ear.
He smirked and I chuckled and went to the other room to change.
I was thinking about telling them about the schloarship.
What do I do about?
Do I leave American Dance or stay
