Brooklyn

London Is My Escapy

I turned to Brooklyn and shook my head before walking away from her in complete anger. I heard her call my name, but ignored it. I walked out of the room and into the hallway. I ran a hand through my hair and turned and punched the wall next to me.

I didn't notice that Brooklyn followed me until I heard a gasp. I slowly turned to her.

"Cole I was going to tell you, but I didn't know how."

"You did know how to tell me you were going to London and not here Brooklyn! How hard is it to say that?"

"I don't know if I want to go there yet. I just got the scholarship today."

"Well you could of told us when we were in the dressing room."

"Why are you mad about this?"

"Because I like you I really do," I said. She laughed.

"You only like me because you need me too win your stupid little game."

As soon as the words came out of my mouth I regretted it. I wasn't suppose to say anything about it. He took a step towards me and I took a step back. His hands were in fists and his knuckles were pure white. He looked at me and shook his head.

"Who told you about the game?"

I have never been so scared in my life before. 

"I-I..."

He let out a humorless laugh.

"Fine don't say anything. I hope you enjoy London."

With that he walked away. I watched his figure fade away. A tear escaped from my eye and slid down my face. I could taste the salty taste in my mouth. I put my back against the wall and fell to the ground crying. I put my head in my hands and sobbed my heart out. 

Then he walked in.

The person I never wanted to see.

My ex-boyfriend.

Derek.

"Brooklyn are you OK?"

I quickly got up from the ground and walked over to him.

"Are you friends with Cole Hale?''

"Yeah we are best friends. Why?"

"So you created the game? When did it start?"

He rubbed the back of his neck and looked at me through his hair.

"I did create the game and it started four years ago."

"So it started when we were together, oh and let me guess Jade was one of your victims? Oh, don't tell me because I already know."

"Brooklyn-"

"Don't, just don't. I have lost people I love because of you, Derek. People keep walking out of my life. I love Cole,  Derek, and because of the game you created he doesn't feel the same way and was using me for his stupid game. So just stop. Stop ruining my life and get out of it. I have wanted to say this to you the time I found out you cheated on me with Jade. So leave me and everyone I care about alone. Because if you don't I will not hesitiate to tell the police on you. One for harassment and for the drugs you deal, that you get from my father. Yeah I know about that and how my father payed you to watch me and my brother. So stay the hell out of my life and you won't get hurt."
