In the heart of Savanaclaw Dorm, the tension hung thick in the air as the Spelldrive Stadium echoed with the aftermath of the battle. Grim stood over Leona, who had just regained consciousness, his eyes narrowing as he tried to piece together what had happened.
"I did it! He's awake!" Grim declared, his voice filled with relief. "I was starting to think you weren't ever gonna regain consciousness! Now, hurry up and confess."
Leona blinked, still disoriented. "Wh... What?"
Before Leona could fully comprehend the situation, Headmage Crowley stepped forward, his tone stern. "Mr. Kingscholar. Your negative energies accelerated your blot accumulation, inducing an overblot episode. Do you not remember?"
Leona's eyes widened in shock. "Wait, ME...? I overblotted? No way..."
Amidst the confusion, Y/N groaned softly as she regained her senses. Cater was quick to help her stand, his supportive grip steadying her.
"And more importantly," Grim interjected, "the Spelldrive tournament is about to begin. I'm gonna need you to confess that you're the culprit, so I'm allowed to enter!"
Leona let out a humorless laugh. "Heh. If this is a joke, I ain't laughin'."
Jack, still reeling from the recent events, explained, "The headmage got Grim's group to investigate the accidents in exchange for letting them compete in the tournament."
Ruggie, who had been silent until now, looked shocked. "Whaaat? THAT'S what this has all been about?"
Grim crossed his arms, glaring at Ruggie. "You bet it has! And EXCUSE you?! You were the one pushin' people down stairs for the chance at a little fame and glory!"
Ruggie winced, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "Urk... W-well... Fair point, I suppose."
Crowley’s voice cut through the tension, commanding attention. "Is he correct? Were you responsible for the series of injuries sustained by competing players?"
Leona's expression hardened. After a moment of silence, he finally admitted, "...Yeah. That was me."
The headmage nodded, his decision swift and final. "Very well. Then to begin with, Savanaclaw House will be disqualified from this year's tournament. The rest of your punishment will be decided after I discuss it with the victims. Are we clear?"
Leona's shoulders slumped in defeat. "...Understood."
Ruggie and Jack exchanged troubled glances, the weight of Leona's actions sinking in. Just as Crowley was about to leave, Riddle stepped forward, his expression resolute.
"Headmage, wait," Riddle interjected, ready to speak on the matter.
Headmage Crowley raised an eyebrow at Riddle, recognizing the seriousness in his tone.
"Mr. Rosehearts? And I see you're with... Ah," Crowley said, noticing the group of students behind Riddle.
Riddle nodded. "Correct. They are the victims in this incident."
Trey stepped forward, his expression determined. "Headmage, speaking on behalf of the victims, I have a request for you. We would like you to permit Savanaclaw House to play in the tournament despite their crimes."
Crowley blinked, surprised by the request. "What...? Are you saying...you wish to forgive their crimes?"
Ruggie glanced at the students in disbelief. "You guys..."
But Jamil quickly clarified, "No. That's the last thing we want."
Trey continued, his voice firm. "If Savanaclaw is disqualified from the tournament, we'll lose our chance at revenge."
