The sun was high in the sky as Jack and Y/N faced off in a friendly brawl in the open courtyard of Scavanaclaw. Leona lounged nearby on a sunbed, clearly uninterested in the activity around him. His golden eyes were half-closed as he enjoyed the warmth of the sun, seemingly unfazed by the commotion.

Ruggie, who had been busy washing his own laundry, spotted Leona and seized the opportunity to make a point. With a dramatic flourish, Ruggie dumped a pile of dirty clothes onto Leona’s relaxed form.

“Leona, I ain’t your mama, so you wash your own damn clothes!” Ruggie declared.

Leona barely moved, glancing at the pile of laundry with a raised eyebrow. “I’ll pay you for this.”

Ruggie’s eyes lit up, and he quickly began gathering the clothes back up. “Aww, it’s just a little bit of clothes. How much are we talking?”

While the exchange was taking place, Y/N and Jack were locked in a spirited brawl. They circled each other, exchanging playful jabs and kicks, laughter and banter punctuating their moves.

“Come on, Jack! Is that all you’ve got?” Y/N taunted, dodging a swing and countering with a well-placed jab.

Jack grinned, sweat beginning to form on his brow. “You’re quick, but you’re not unbeatable!”

As they continued to spar, Y/N landed a decisive hit, knocking Jack off balance. He stumbled and fell to the ground, panting.

You’re a strong woman,” Jack said, struggling to catch his breath. “Gah! Not that I think about you!

Y/N laughed, extending a hand to help him up. “Oh, come on, Jack. You’re not too shabby yourself.”

For a moment, their eyes locked, and Jack’s expression softened. He cupped Y/N’s face gently, his eyes filled with admiration. Then, realizing the intensity of the moment, he blushed furiously. In a sudden burst of embarrassment, he picked Y/N up and tossed her playfully onto the ground.

“Oops, you let your guard down,” Jack said with a sheepish grin, trying to cover up his earlier sentiment.

Y/N landed on the grass with a soft thud, laughing as she sat up. “Hey, not fair!”

As they finished their playful brawl, Y/N strolled over to the lounge chairs where Leona was lounging. She flopped down beside him, letting out a contented sigh. Jack, shifting into his wolf form, padded over and lay down in Y/N’s lap, his head resting comfortably.

Leona glanced over, rolling his eyes. “If we get married, you’re not getting any pets.”

Y/N chuckled, stroking Jack’s fur. “You’re thinking too far ahead, Leona.”

Leona smirked, his golden eyes glinting. “I’m the best option, so why not think about it early?”

He leaned closer, his voice lowering. “The only pets you’ll need are kids, because they’re the equivalent to dogs.”

Y/N punched him lightly on the arm, shaking her head. “You and your big mouth.”

Later that night, Y/N met up with Jack again at Ramshackle. They decided to take a leisurely walk through town, Jack leading the way. After a while, they arrived at a cozy, elegant restaurant. Over dinner, their conversation flowed effortlessly.

“So, what’s your favorite thing about being a wolf?” Y/N asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Jack considered the question for a moment, his tail flicking slightly. “I’d say it’s the freedom. Running through the forest with my family, the sheer exhilaration of it. What about you? What’s your favorite thing about being... you?”

Y/N laughed, leaning back in her chair. “I guess I’d say it’s the unpredictability. I never know what’s going to happen next, and that keeps things exciting.”

As they chatted, they discovered more about each other’s interests and dreams. The conversation was light and full of laughter, each sharing stories and personal anecdotes that made them feel even closer.

After dinner, Jack guided Y/N to a quiet bay where the view of the night sky was unobstructed. They sat together, watching as fireworks suddenly erupted in the sky. The fireworks formed Y/N’s name in dazzling colors, lighting up the night.

Y/N’s eyes widened in surprise and delight. “Jack, this is amazing! How did you...?”

Jack smiled, his eyes reflecting the light from the fireworks. “I asked an old friend to arrange it. I wanted to do something special for you.”

Y/N hugged him tightly, her heart swelling with emotion. “It’s wonderful, Jack. Thank you.”

As the fireworks continued to paint the sky with vibrant hues, Jack held Y/N close, sharing the special moment as they both felt the warmth of their growing connection.
