Sophie and Ali were finishing up their shift at the hospital, exhausted but fulfilled after a long day of saving lives. As they changed out of their scrubs and prepared to head home, Ali's sister burst into the locker room, beaming with excitement.
"Sophie, Ali, I have the most amazing news!" she exclaimed. "Our mother has just come from your house, Sophie, and she's beaming with joy!"
Sophie and Ali exchanged curious glances. "What happened?" Sophie asked, her heart racing with anticipation.
Ali's sister grinned mischievously. "Our mother and I went to your house to ask for your hand in marriage, Sophie! And your family said yes!"
Sophie's eyes widened in shock, and Ali's jaw dropped in disbelief. They had been so focused on their careers and helping others that they had never expected this surprise announcement!
