The mission was relatively easy, except the part it took them three days to finish. With unexpected villains coming in their ways, held Duri as hostage as the villain had a similar power as that nature element's brother. They keep getting power up as Duri's energy was drained by them, making them even more powerful.
To make things worse, Halilintar's power has little to no effect on them. Leaving Ais to lead their forces to win. Also, did they ever mention how they were unable to contact anyone during the mission as the enemy jammed their way of connection with outer space.
At the end of the mission, they finally rescue Duri and safely bring back the stolen power sphere.
"So.... freaking.....tired...," Ais stated slowly, yawn escapes his mouth as they finally reach their home.
Duri on the other hand, already in slumber, resting behind the eldest back. A fainted snore could be heard besides Hali's ear.
"Come on!" Halilintar grunted as he tried to open the door. Eyelids were heavy as they walked into the house. Hali put Duri on the sofa, unable to bring the younger to his room anymore. With the last energy he had, he stumped himself onto the opposite sofa and let himself fall to sleep.
Ais seeing no empty space left, leaving him with no choice but to walk to his room, doesn't even have any energy to create his water bubble anymore. With the last converse energy left in his body, Ais took slow steps onto the stairs.
Each step was slow and full of tiredness. It was during this moment that Ais hated the most. He never likes being tired, always making sure his body is in a resting state. It was really unlucky that the mission had him using most of his energy. Ais couldn't remember the last time he didn't blink in sleeps in three days.
He also hates to be tired because it was during these moments that his mind became weak. How it brings him back to the past of how much he wants that person to be there, open arm the moment he will enter his room, how he wishes he didn't say those words back then, how Ais wishes he was the one that was gone.
How long are these stairs? Ais inwardly thought. He should be in a hurry, not idly to indulge more with those thoughts.
Another yawned escaped his mouth, his priority should be his bed and Whally and not a certain brother he longed. Dammit.
Finally arrived in front of his door, the ice user was about to push his door open when his bedroom door suddenly opened by itself, followed by a familiar person standing in front of him.
Cyan meeting orange hues. Both of them looked at each other in silence, until one of them snapped. The person smiles while his eyes do look a little bit guilty, he greets, "Hey, you must be Ais. I'm.."
The person's mouth was moving yet Ais couldn't catch anything of what he said. Ahh.. this must be one of his dreams again. He looked again into those eyes. Oh. how much he misses him. He must be so tired that his mind is trying to comfort him with illusion.
"Blaze..," Ais murmured softly, his voice barely a whisper.
Panic flashed across the illusion's expression and Ais didn't really understand what's going on until he blinked back a tear.
"Ehhh- Why are you crying!?", the illusion voice finally reaches Ais, but the words felt distant, as if echoing from another world.
What a worst dream is this? Blaze in his dream was looking worried and started to apologize while he was supposed to be the one to say those things.
"I'm sorry.."
However, as Ais was about to apologize, a heaviness settled over him, as if gravity itself was pulling him down. Despite his efforts to fight against it, exhaustion overtook him, rendering his eyelids unable to resist the pull of sleep. With a sense of inevitability, he began to fall.
