8. 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰

"Okay, I will stop here because I have something else to discuss today" Our professor says keeping the market aside and removing the presentation from the screen. He steps in front of his desk and stands there examining all over the hall.

"Your finals and graduation are nearby, including many events too. But I have a task for you all" As he completes his sentence the whole hall sighs in annoyance. Our marketing and trading professor is the one who gives us the most annoying assignments in the name of 'extra grades'

All the students are either bored or annoyed with his sudden announcement. Most of them slouching on their seats

"He doesn't have any work other than this?" June mutters while doodling in her notes. I let out a tired sigh "Isn't that his work?" I say and glance at her. She scoffs at my words "Not funny"

"I know, I am quite dry today"

The professor claps his hands to grab our attention "Okay, I know you all aren't interested but this will be fun". I couldn't help but roll my eyes, he always says that and ends up giving the most maddening tasks

"It's simple, we have a welcome ceremony and orientation week coming up for our new students. that's a great opportunity to test what you all have learnt from my classes" he continues, practically making a Jalebi instead of coming straight to the point

"You guys can try selling something at the events. Of course, there will be many stalls but you guys can put up something unique and make a business. Show me the results of how much capital you invested and how much profit you gained" He adds with a small smirk on his face. I turn my he's to see other's reactions, a few aren't even listening, a few seem uninterested in the idea and the ones who seem to like the idea are already taking notes

"The one who wants to try this can give me their names so I can get permission from the council. But-" he pauses again to create a dramatic atmosphere

What is this? Ekta Kapoor's TV serial?

"This will only happen in pairs, those who are interested can come forward but I will do the pairing and announce it tomorrow"

I sigh leaning back, my mind filled with thoughts about this. Apart from studies this also gives you experience. I have seen the event for the past two years and many students put up small stalls but most of them are sponsored by the University so they don't get profit

Here, we invest our own and receive our own. What's wrong with giving it a try

"What? You will try?" June whispers from my side. I hum in response "Should I? It sounds fun"

June shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly, she doesn't participate in all these much and it wouldn't be a surprise if she didn't care about them too "Sure, put it. I will get free stuff" she says with a grin

I roll my eyes "You will get a discount not free stuff" I reply in a playful tone. I would give her a few things for free but what should I sell? I should think about it before
